1.23.16 USAC Southwest Sprints Results
Peoria, AZ……..Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. captured round two of the 2016 “Winter Challenge” at Canyon Speedway Saturday night. Wheeling a backup Mike Martin machine after his original mount encountered mechanical problems during practice, Clauson sped to victory in his heat race and, in the 30-lap feature, he passed Charles Davis, Jr. on lap 18 and led the rest of the way in his Sherwin Williams/Jonathan Byrd’s Racing special. Having also won Friday’s 30-lap feature, Clauson leads the “Winter Challenge” standings into Sunday night’s round three of the five-round USAC Southwest/West Coast Sprint Car series. Trailing Clauson at the checkered flag were R.J. Johnson, Davis, Josh Hodges and Brian Hosford.
