After a five-week break from point racing the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) presented by KS Sales & Service storms back in action with a pair of events this weekend in Northern Ohio. Also the JLH General Contractors F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series reignite their battle creating a double header of sprint car racing. Both divisions return to the dirt to battle for the coveted titles on Friday, July 26th at Attica Raceway Park before returning to Fremont Speedway on Saturday, July 28th.

Back in June when the hunt for the $10,000 points title left off Byron Reed hit his stride after switching to a Maxim chassis and became just the second driver in the series five year history to sweep the weekend. The pair of wins, along with the 5 bonus points for the sweep, vaulted Reed and the B&S Racing #5R team into second place and within 43-points of current points leader Craig Mintz. While Mintz has yet to win a feature under the F.A.S.T. banner the Gibsonburg, Ohio has been the most consistent driver week in week out and has yet to finish outside the top-10 in a points race. Caleb Griffith aboard the Davis Brothers Bullet #40DD has one feature win to his credit and sits just 71-points back of the lead within streaking distance. Sitting in fourth is DJ Foos who continues to build on an impressive rookie campaign driving the Genzman Racing Enterprises #53 that includes four top-5 finishes. Rounding out the top-five in the Kistler Cup point standings is Burmeister Racing’s Chris Andrews who looks to build off the momentum gained from his first career Ohio Sprint Speedweek feature win.

Wooster, Ohio’s Dean Jacobs sits in sixth place and holds a slim 6-point advantage over fellow veteran Brian Smith in points. “The Z Man” Duane Zablocki and his family owned #9Z will need to gander some top-10 finishes in order to move up in the standings and hold off 9th place Brian Lay, who picked up his first career dirt feature win last weekend at Attica. Defending series champion Bryan Sebetto has one win to his credit and has cracked the top-10 while the Hammer Motorsports #24H has concentrated on chasing the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Region title.

The 10-race championship for the JLH General Contractors F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series appears as though it may come down to the wire yet again as nine of the top-10 in points are all within 96-points of the lead. While Nate Dussel has been one of the most impressive 305 sprint car drivers in Northern Ohio he holds only a 28-point lead over veteran John Ivy when pushed off on Friday night. Jordan Ryan sits just 40-points back in third place, while Jason Keckler and Alvin Roepke round out the top-5.
