MAUMEE, OH (1-21-2013) by Bryan Autullo – F.A.S.T. Public Relations
As the FAST on Dirt organization embarks on its 5th Anniversary season, it is with great pleasure that we announce the return of Kistler Racing Products as the series title sponsor. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the F.A.S.T. Championship Series has partnered with Kistler Racing Products at Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park.
“This concept is something we came up with five years ago,” said Scott Porter of FAST on Dirt, Inc. “There were a lot of people who said it couldn’t be done. With the help of Paul Kistler, Dave Deyo, and Brian Kemenah of Kistler Racing Products we were able to prove those people wrong. F.A.S.T. continues to grow and thrive into 2013.”
The 2012 F.A.S.T. season saw Bryan Sebetto hoist the Kistler Cup championship trophy in Engine Pro Victory Lane and the claim the big $10,000 championship check for the second consecutive season. Sebetto did it in the Burmeister Racing #16 in 2011 and then drove the Hammer Motorsports #24h to the title in 2012. The chase for the 2013 Kistler Cup is set to begin in April as the 410 sprint cars are slated to run 18 F.A.S.T. points events over the course of the season.
The F.A.S.T. Championship Series continues to grow, but stays true to its vision of helping out the local drivers and teams that compete weekly in the sprint car divisions at Fremont and Attica in Northern Ohio. Over the course of four years, F.A.S.T. has handed out over $150,000 in cash and contingency prizes plus several thousand more dollars worth of contingency award certificates to various race part manufacturers.
“It’s incredible to think that this will mark our 5th season of operations,” said Porter. “With Paul, Dave, and Brian believing in this concept and lending the Kistler name to this organization as our title sponsor, it has kept our organization at the forefront in 410 sprint car racing in Northern Ohio. We’ve been able to do some things that we didn’t know were possible in the beginning.”
Kistler Racing Products has helped bring more sponsorship dollars to the series by spreading the word to their suppliers. Several more companies have jumped on the F.A.S.T. bandwagon through their relationship with Paul, Brian, and Dave. Not only is the series organization grateful, but it all eventually trickles down to the race teams who benefit from the cash and prizes set forth by all of the people involved. The manufacturers, the sponsors, the promoters, and the media all have a part in this from top to bottom.
With the amount of money the series pays out in cash and prizes, and with the bonus money and increased purse payouts at select events throughout the season, the F.A.S.T. Series can boast the highest paying local 410 racing between Knoxville and Williams Grove. Both Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park have gotten behind this series to find ways to increase the point fund and to pay additional money on certain nights. The entire concept has become a team effort with the tracks becoming more involved with the decision making each year.
