MASSINGILL AMASSES ANOTHER MTM VICTORY AT MONTPELIER

Montpelier, Indiana (October 8, 2022)………It didn’t take long for Troy, Ohio’s Bryce Massingill to reach the front of the pack on Saturday night at Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway.

The sixth-starting driver made his way to the lead by the end of the first lap and never conceded as he drove to his fifth USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midgets Presented by Performance Electronics win of the year, leading all 20 laps in the process.

Massingill was followed to the line by Matt Lux (Manilla, Ind.), the recently crowned 2022 All Star Circuit of Champions TQ Midget titlist who revealed he has purchased two cars to run the Midwest Thunder series in 2023.

Drew Rader (Findlay, Ohio), who had won each of the past three Midwest Thunder features at Montpelier this season, came home third after starting eighth. Jakeb Boxell (Zanesville, Ind.) and Chett Gehrke (Broken Arrow, Okla.) rounded out the top-five with point leader Stratton Briggs (Anna, Ohio) scored in sixth.
