It was day two of the 2020 Leftover. The stands and the pits were packed with a record setting 402 cars on hand to do battle.
The Sportsman Late Models would be up first for their 20 lap feature. Jed Emert would lead us to green coming off a runner up finish the previous night. Hayden Owenby, Adam Mitchell, Brad Seagle and DJ Shannon would run out the top five on the start. Seagle was set on go early on as he tried to work over Mitchell for the third spot. DJ Shannon started in the top five but would fall back a few spots in the first half of the feature. The yellow would wave for the #18 of Sam Oakley who would bring out two cautions both in turn four, the second of which would end his night as he made hard contact with the outside wall. Friday nights winner Clyde Stanton didn’t have the best qualifying position but was on go as he moved up into the top five. Seagle had one of the best cars on the track as he moved into the runner up spot with his sights on the leader. Emert would pick his way through a few lappers and go on to score the win.

Next up was the Super Late Models doing battle for 50 laps paying $5,000 to win. Cory Hedgecock would get the jump on the start and put his #23 on point. Robby Moses, Dustin Linville, and Randy Weaver gave chase as the early laps began. The 2020 Lucas Oil Champion Jimmy Owens was on a mission as he powered all the way into the second spot in just three laps. Randy Weaver won the last Super race at 411 and had another strong car as he worked over Linville for the fourth spot. Owens had adjusted his line and moved up the track as he closed in on leader Hedgecock. On lap 17 he’d change his strategy and dive down on the inside and power into the lead. Weaver would also pick up another spot as he moved into third. Owens was an absolute rocket as he pulled out to a massive lead over Hedgecock and Weaver. Mike Marlar was also trying to work his way up into the top five in the second half of the feature. Owens would lap all the way up to the sixth place driver by race end.

The 604 Late Models were on track next. Friday nights winner Mack McCarter once again set fast time in qualifying earning the pole for the A main. The green waved and it was again McCarter who set sail ahead of Josh Henry, Eli Beets, Jason Cardwell and Brandon Williams. Cardwell was hooked up as he powered his #07 into the third spot. The caution would wave early for debris setting up a restart. As the top two began to pull away trouble would find the #95 of Williams who slowed with mechanical issues and retired for the rest of the event on lap 13. Josh Henry had a very fast car on the night as he and Jason Cardwell put on a thrilling show for the fans with door to door racing for multiple laps for the second spot. Trouble for the #24 of Collins who would also have the mechanical bug bite him ending his night short of the finish. McCarter would pull away in the final laps to score back to back leftover wins.

Another strong field of Open Wheel drivers were on hand for another great race. Nick Hoffman would take the lead on the start with Nascar Xfinity Series driver Justin Allgaier, Friday nights winner Tyler Nicely and Brandon Kinzer your top five drivers. Kinzer tried to work the third spot away from Nicely in the opening laps but had to fall back in line. The top three were setting a blistering pace and quickly found themselves in slower traffic. Nicely had caught Allgaier and after a tough battle would take the second place position away. A long trail of smoke began to follow the #15 of Clayton Miller who would come to a stop shortly after with fluid coming from his machine. Michael Asbury would go for a spin on the exit of turn two ending his chances at a top 10 finish. Blake Brown was on the move as he charged up into the top five by race end. Nick Hoffman would hold to to pick up the big win.

The final race of the day would be the 602 Late Models. Once again Booger Brooks looked to continue his dominance in the division as he set fast time again in qualifying. A big multi car crash would bring out the red flag. Vic Chandler, Brandon Godsey and Levi Scarbrough were among those involved. After a lengthy cleanup it was back to racing with Brooks out front chased by Trevor Sise and Hayden Cardwell. Spencer Singleton and Seth Wimpey had a good battle for position until problems for Wimpey would end his night. The caution would wave for the #27 of Steven Purkey setting up a restart. Cardwell would move his way into the runner up spot and mount a charge at the leader. He looked to have a great run at Brooks until he slipped back a couple spots in the final laps.
