Ben Watkins Scores 2021 Carolina Clash Season Opener Victory At Lancaster Motor Speedway
Lancaster, South Carolina (3/13/21) – The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to “The Fastest Half Mile Dirt Track In The South” Lancaster Motor Speedway located in Lancaster, South Carolina on Saturday March 13th for the annual “Red Rose Rumble” and the 2021 season opener event for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series paying $5,000 to win.
Starting from the pole Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, South Carolina led flag to flag Saturday at Lancaster Motor Speedway to score the victory with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series worth $5,000. After starting seventh Jeff Smith of Dallas, North Carolina was able to make a charge to finish second. Brett Hamm, Michael Brown, and Corey Gordon rounded out the top five finishers. The Ponce Realty Group presented by Nick Whitesides fast qualifier of the event was Ben Watkins with a time of 18.602 seconds. The Xtreme Custom Trophies Hard Charger of the event was Brian Nuttall Jr (Started 15th / Finished 6th).
