4.13.25 Bedford Speedway Results

After four attempts, Bedford Speedway finally got the 2025 underway although it was with the use of a Sunday raindate. Kyle Lear was up to the challenge with a pole to pole dominating win in the Limited event while Josh Spicer came from the pack to score the thrilling 305 win.

In other action, Rick Potter came from deep in the field to take the initial Semi Late win before Darian Ritchey scored the Pure Stock win and Josh Ringer grabbed the Crown Vic evening closer.

By the luck of the draw Kyle Lear started the Limited event from the pole and grabbed the lead at the start. Shawn Shoemaker took up the chase but fell back as the race progressed. As the top two ran in formation, the man on the move was Clinton Hersh.

Hersh started eighth in the field and started slowly, only up to sixth by lap 15. But Hersh turned up the wick over the last five laps after he got the outside groove to work well. He arrived in third on lap 17 but the two leaders were long gone by then.

At the finish it was Lear, Shoemaker and Hersh as Austin Berry and Ray Ciccarelli completed the top 5. Earlier heats were won by Hersh and Lear.

Dustin Young got the early 305 lead with Braedon Varner in hot pursuit. Josh Spicer arrived on the scene and battled Varner, getting by on lap two. He got by Young for the lead on lap 5 and the two rain in that order, surviving several minor yellows before Varner reentered the picture and got by Young for second on lap 16.

Only two laps later action was halted as AJ Barton gyroed through the air in turn three, bringing out the red flag. After that delay, Spicer led the last few laps to score the win over Varner and Young. Timmy Bittner and Jarrett Cavalet completed the top 5. John Scarborough, Jeff Weaver and Spicer won the heats.

Josh Bumberger grabbed the early Semi Late lead but was hounded every lap by newcomer Brady Neff. By lap 6 Rick Potter injected himself into the lead battle which roared until lap 11.

On that lap as Neff and Potter roared up the backstretch, Neff’s engine expired bringing out the caution and ending a fine run. On the restart, Potter pounced and got around Bumberger for the lead and held for the win. Brian Weyandt Jr got by for second a lap later and chased Potter across the finish line.

Kyle Weyant got by Bumberger to claim third on the last lap. Dalton Weyant completed the top 5. Kyle Weyant and Dalton Weyant won the heats.

Darian Ritchey started on the pole and led the entire Pure Stock event for the win. Charlie Clise and Denver Dishong chased Ritchey for the duration but could not effect a serious challenge and finished in that order behind him. Madison Miller and Derek Hinish completed the top five. Dishong and Clise won the heats.

Josh Ringer passed early leader Raymond Moore to take the Crown Vic event. Moore and Paul Crynock won the heats.
