4.20.19 Sprint Bandits Results
THANK YOU to the 28 Sprint Car
Bandits teams & great group of fans that came out to
support our host track LoneStar Speedway on Saturday
April 20th.
And thank you to KoolTrikes.com for paying $100 to each
of the heat winners and Cabinets By Tommy of Granbury
for putting up $500 to win the Pole Scramble.
It ended up being a hotly contested feature event, yet with
several near-the-front running drivers experiencing one
problem or another as the laps ran down.
Austin Mundie would wrestle the lead from Pole scramble
winner Marcus Thomas, only to run out of fuel on a lap 20
restart.
Claud Estes would drop out of a strong third place when he
thinks his Mag broke as the car just stopped, and it was
about at that same time that another impressive John
Ricketts performance would end in his engine expiring.
Will Eggimann got in to a solid 3rd and while running the
wall in corner 3 drifted up just enough to suck the right
front into the wall breaking an axle.
And Josh Hawkins was running 3rd and ran out of fuel.
So when the 25-lapper reached its conclusion, Marcus
Thomas picked up his second Sprint Car Bandits feature
event and hauled in $2,500 for his efforts.
This marks only the 5th time out of the last 18 SCB events
the pole sitter would go on to win.
The feature race concluded before 10:30pm.
Thanks once again to all that helped make this event
possible and we look forward to another great night of
racing at 82 Speedway in Petty, Texas next Saturday.

Happy Easter everyone!
