Shane Clanton, of Zebulon, Georgia, survived a late-race challenge from fellow Peach State driver Donald McIntosh for a $4,000 victory in tonight’s inaugural ‘Schaeffer’s Oil Tarheel Invitational presented by PitStopUSA.com.’ The special event was held with no race fans due to COVID-19 restrictions, but was broadcast to a huge throng of people LIVE on both DirtonDirt.com and FloRacing.com. Shane qualified third quickest of the 25 invitees during the time trial session prior to securing a triumph in the dash. After rolling off from the pole position in the 40-lap main event and turning down an opportunity to start at the tail of the field to vie for a $25,500 payday with bonuses, Shane led the majority of the action-packed race to pick up the checkered flag over McIntosh, David Payne, Casey Roberts, and Brandon Overton!
