After a long off period it was back to action with six classes of racing action.

The Classic Cars would be up first for their 20 lap feature. It would be a family affair as Shaun Sise and Mark Sise would lead us to green. Mark Sise would put his #35 out front in the opening laps ahead of Shaun Sise, Mac Lockhart, Jimmy Rayhuff and Logan Dukes the top five on the start. Shaun was on go quickly as he moved himself into the top spot. It would be an early exit for the #11 of Christian Runyon as he was still having mechanical issues from earlier in the day. The top three had put some distance on the rest of the pack until a caution for the #02 of Ray Meadows who went for a spin in turn one would slow the pace setting up a restart. Sise would hold on to pick up another win.

Next up was the 602 Late Models. The Cardwells have been very successful in 2021 in 602’s so it was of little surprise when they qualified on the front row for the 20 lap feature. Trouble would show it’s face early as the #11 of Tim Bounds and the #9 of Dustin Bunch got together on the opening lap sending Bounds for a spin. Since no laps were completed, both drivers would get their starting spots back. Hayden Cardwell would take control of the pack on the start with Bailey Cardwell, Josh Driskill, Curtis Thomas and Tim Bounds giving chase. The #9 of Bunch would have some trouble on the night as he was parked by officials for bringing out two cautions. Thomas in his #5 had his hands full with the #B00 of Driskill as they battled it out for the third spot. Hayden Cardwell would pull away in the closing laps to pick up the win.

Mack McCarter has been on quite the hot streak with wins all over the state of TN in the past several weeks. He would pick up where he left off winning at Smoky Mountain the previous weekend by setting quick time in 604 Late Model qualifying. McCarter took the lead as the green waved ahead of Matt Henderson and Jason Cardwell the top three. The #10B of Bradley Lewelling and the #29 of Rusty Ballenger had a great battle for the fourth spot early on. Jake Teague didn’t have a great starting spot but he had clearly hit the setup just right on his #117 as he picked his way up towards the front. As McCarter began to run away from the pack, the caution would wave for the #2 of Terry Poore who lost a right rear tire bringing out the caution. On the restart, Henderson would dive under McCarter for the lead going into turn one but had to fall back in line. Teague had now worked his way all the way up into the top three and just a couple laps later moved past Henderson into second. McCarter would pull away again in the finals laps.

A strong field of Open Wheel drivers were on hand for their 20 lap feature. Michael Asberry would lead us to green with Brandon Kinzer and Wayne James in his tire tracks. Jeff Hamby would have issues on the opening laps and had to pull off track to the attention of his crew. He would make it back out before green but had to start at the rear of the pack. Back under green and James would try his luck under the #18 of Kinzer for the second spot but wouldn’t be able to make the pass. Cameron Wilson and Matthew Hopper had their own battle in the back half of the top five in the early laps. Kinzery had reeled in Asberry for the lead as the laps ticked away. Cardwell would set the pace on the start ahead of Dustin Ratliff, Adam Mitchell, John Adams and Brad Seagle. Cardwell would began to pull away early as the battle was on between the #76 of Joe Bray and the #32 of Adams. Adams would eventually fall off the pace for the night. The leader had caught the back of the pack to work his way past slower traffic until the caution waved for second place runner Ratliff who saw his chances of victory end with a spin in turn four. The final race of the night just might have been the best race of the entire program. James Burnette would lead us to green for the Front Wheel Drive feature with Ray Wyatt in the second spot. Some smoke would trail 6th place driver Josh Davis who would have to pull off short of the finish. It was a fantastic battle between Burnette and Wyatt as they swapped the lead several times around the mid portion of the race. Burnett’s luck would run out as he lost a right wheel tire while leading going into turn one almost collecting Waytt who was still in second.
