Steve Barnett of Franklin, IN blew away the field in the 25 lap Late Model main event, pulling away from the start and winning by a half track over Patrick Sheltra. The Super Stock feature event saw Tim Clark of North Vernon, IN utilize the bottom groove to pefection en route to the win. In the Bomber feature, Steve and Edgar Godsey put on a show, running side by side for the lead from start to finish. Edgar ended up taking the win on the final lap, his first career win at Brownstown
The Late Model feature started with Sheltra and Barnett on the front row leading the field to the green flag. Barnett bolted out to the lead as the field came out of turn two, and edged out Sheltra down the backstraight. Just after the field completed the first lap, a three car accident involving Brian Wilhite, Duane Brown, and Ryan Eads would bring out the yellow. On the restart, Barnett led the field through turn one, with a battle for second taking place between Sheltra and Justin Blackwell. Blackwell would get the spot for a couple of circuits before Sheltra reclaimed the spot on lap 4. Behind them, Mark Barber would get around Steve Godsey for the fourth spot. As the field completed lap number ten, Barnett had stretched his lead out to a full straight over Sheltra. By this point, the top five were spread out with everyone keeping in position. The lapping process commenced at the halfway point, with Barnett moving through with ease. With five to go, the advantage over second place was now a half track. The only thing that could have stopped Barnett was a natural disaster or power outage at the track. Barnett cruised on to the win followed by Sheltra, Blackwell, Barber, and Godsey rounding out the top five.
The 20 lap Super Stock main event started with Tim Clark leading the field around to complete the first lap, followed by a battle between Jeremy Hines and Randy Gilland for second. Gilland would nab the position away going down the backstretch, leaving Hines to fend off Chris Deweese for third. The action would slow on lap three, as a multi car accident blocked the turn four area. When racing resumed, Clark bolted out to the lead with Deweese and Gilland battling for second. Deweese would take the spot, bringing Hines with him around Gilland for third. Greg Amick would then get around Gilland for fourth. Amick had started in the 8th spot, and was on the move. Amick then ran down Hines, and got around him for the third spot on lap eight. On lap nine, the yellow would fly as Jason Hehman stalled his car on the frontstretch. On the restart, it was once again Clark darting out to the lead followed by Deweese and Amick. Hines brought his car alongside of Amick once again to challenge for the third position. The duo would ride side by side for a good five laps. Another car on the move was Mike Cawood, who started 14th, and was up to fifth by the halfway point. The battle for third continued at lap 11, as Hines got around Amick for third. As Clark pulled away, Amick and Hines diced it out for third for the remaining portion of the race. When the checkers flew it was Clark, Deweese, Amick, Hines, and Cawood rounding out the top five.
It was a family affair in the Bomber division, with Edgar Godsey and Steve Godsey leading the field to the green flag in the 15 lap main event. Steve would lead the first lap, with Edgar in tow. Edgar then pulled to the inside of Steve, and the duo would then begin one of the best battles in recent memory in the Bomber division. Behind them, Bub Cummings and Wes Tipton went side by side for the third spot. Cummings managed to hold off Tipton’s charge to stay in third. Up front, the battle continued on for the lead between the Godsey family. Throughout the first ten laps, the lead duo officially changed the lead eight times. With just five laps to go, Cummings had started to reel in the top two, and looked to make it a three-way dance for the lead. As the field crossed the line with three to go, Cummings had caught the lead duo and threw his hat in the mix for the lead. The two to go signal flew, signaling that it was time for someone to step it up just a bit. Edgar Godsey did just that, and edged out to a slim lead over Steve Godsey and Cummings. Steve managed to pull alongside Edgar as the white flag was given. Edgar pulled into the lead for good as they came down the backstretch for the final time. Edgar would cross the line just ahead of Steve Godsey, Cummings, Jason Combs, and Tipton rounded out the top five.
