5.5.18 Volusia Speedway Park Results

(5-5-18) Barberville, FL – There was weather all around the “Worlds Fastest Half Mile”, but mother nature decided to spare racing action as the temperatures cooled off and the racing action was just as hot on the track! On the docket for the night found the Gary Yeomans Performance Late Models take center stage for the first time in 2018 battling for $2,000 to win!
First up on the night went to the Mercedes Benz Vans Born to Run Streets stocks as Alan Peacock and Tuck Trentham led the field to the green. Peacock would prevail on the start and take the lead with Trentham hot on his heels. As the race wore on Trentham would challenge Peacock on several occasions and even get to his door, but it was to no prevail as Peacock would go on and win the feature event. Trentham would finish second, Ron Adams third, Joe Belkey fourth and Dustin Turnage Sr. would round out the top five.
