Lock Haven, PA The Patriot Sprint Cars, sponsored by T & C Transport of Bellefonte, PA, invaded Clinton County Motor Speedway Friday June 15. The New York based organization joined the 600 and 270 micro sprints for a triple card open wheel program. 26 Patriot drivers signed in for competition. When action was thru, Chuck Hebing won the 25 lap feature event. Garrett Bard took the 600 micro sprint feature. Brandon Edgar was the 270 micro sprint winner. Tim Campbell scored win number three in 4 cylinder stock car competition.
Hebing started fourth and navigated heavy lapped traffic through much of the feature. When the checkered flag dropped, Hebing enjoyed a 6.662 second advantage over second place driver Pauly Colagiovanni. Davie Franek finished third with Jared Zimbardi fourth. Coleman Gulick completed the top five. Sixth through tenth were Steven Hutchinson Jr., Dale Schweikart, Justin Barger, Steve Glover and Jordan Thomas. Heat races were won by Hebing, Zimbardi and Trenca. Kyle Drum won the B-Main. Hutchinson Jr., won the dash.
The 600 micro feature found Garrett Bard making an exciting move, following a restart, to gain the the lead and score a 1.83 second advantage over runner up Josh Beamer. Jeff Weaver finished third with Jake Hummel fourth. Brandon Edgar was fifth. The remainder of the top ten included Sierra Weaver, Jake Hummel, Jeff Gyuina, and Shelby Rowles. Bard and Beamer were heat race winners. 17 cars were in attendance.
Brandon Edgar got by race leader Bobby Sanso in the final laps of 270 micro action to score a popular win. Sanso settled for second 1.251 seconds behind the winner. Lance Spotts came home third with Jeffrey Weaver fourth. Troy Whitesel was fifth. Sixth through tenth were Mason Peters, Danny Rinehimer, Levi Peck, Skeetz Hockenbrock and Daniel Wertman. Heat races were won by Whitesel, Sanso and Weaver. 19 cars signed in for action.
Tim Campbell continued his winning ways during front wheel drive 4 cylinder competition. Tim Raup settled for second with Sam Creveling third. Cody Stover and Kyle Workmen completed the top five. Allen Buss was sixth. Adam Campbell finished seventh. Geno Snyder, Larry Beachel and John Bower followed. 12 cars entered competition.
Action continues Friday June 22 when the limited late models are joined by the LHSS/PASS 305 sprint cars. Pro Stocks and 270 micro’s are also on the four card racing program. Gates open at 5 pm with warm-ups set for 7.
The super late models return to the Speedway Friday June 29 during Stocker Chevrolet Night.
