6.15.18 FAST 305 Sprints Results

By Gerry Keysor
LIMA, Ohio – Jamie Miller has been on a roll as of late and it continued Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park as the Fremont, Ohio driver captured the JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series presented by Engine Pro victory Friday, June 15.
Miller won at Attica Raceway Park two weeks ago and followed that with a second place run the next night at Fremont Speedway. Last week’s races were rained out but that didn’t dampen Miller’s speed as the FAST series headed to Limaland for the first time in 2018.
Miller drove the Ryan French owned Sonic Hauling, Fostoria Mod Shop, Phil Rister Racing, NAPA of Attica, Reedtown Tavern;,Branham Builders, Crown Battery, Avon by Angie, Sparting Underground backed machine into the early lead of the feature on a heavy, “cowboy up” style track. When Miller encountered lapped traffic on lap eight veteran Alvin Roepke closed quickly. Roepke utilized the lapped cars to grab the lead on lap 13. Meanwhile 12th starting John Ivy had worked his way to third.
Stuart Williams brought out the caution with eight laps to go after making contact with the front stretch wall. On the ensuing restart Miller drove back by Roepke to retake the lead right before Chase Dunham tumbled in turn four. Though he walked away his night was ended. On the final restart Miller was able to get away for good over a hard charging Ivy followed by Roepke, Dustin Stroup and Bryan Sebetto.
The JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series heads to Fremont Speedway Saturday, June 16. Coming into the weekend, Ivy held a slim 16 point lead in the series’ standings over Brandon Moore and Miller who were tied for second.
