6.5.21 Enid Speedway Results

by John Rittenoure – ENID, Okla. (June 5, 2021) – Sheldon Barksdale became the third new winner of the season in Sooner Sprint Series action Saturday at Enid Speedway.

After settling for second place to Brandon Jennings in heat race action, Barksdale turned the tables in the 20-lap feature and raced past Jennings for the early lead. It was all Barksdale at that point as he pulled away and raced to his first sprint car win of the year.

Jennings held on to second followed by Larry Neighbors, who was making his first Sooner Series start, in third. Kaden Taylor and Dylan Postier rounded out the fop five.

Late Models returned to Enid Speedway Saturday and Kip Hughes topped a 21-car field for the win. Hughes battled past Zach Nickell and pulled away as the laps wore on. Nickell finished second ahead of Damian Patocka, Dustin Allen and Eddie Tidwell.

Mark Harrison picked up his first win of the season in the Sport Mod division. Harrison won over Jason Weber and points leader Daylon Bergeron.

Dakota Stewart also won his first feature of the season in the Ok Factory Stock class. Johnie Rauschenberg and Mark Smith rounded out the top three.

Nikk Sands drove to victory in the Hot Shot division.

Racing returns to Enid Speedway on June 26 with Sooner Late Models, Sport Mods, Hot Shots and Ok Factory Stocks. A fireworks show will highlight the night.
