7.18.20 Red Clay Late Model Series Results

Tonight we had 18 cars sign in at I-75 Raceway for the second night of the Tennessee double header. The drivers elected to for go heat races and line up based of qualifying.
Spencer Singleton was the fastest in Group A with a Lap of 13.24. Jake Green and Justin Winters were respectively 2nd and third fastest in Group A. Group B saw Matt Steward set fast time and overall fast time claiming The Converter Man fast time Award. Brandon Stanfield and Beau Bice were second and third fastest in group B.

After a 3 failed attempts and some cars failing to continue the race. We went flag to flag with Matt Steward taking the lead off turn two over Spencer singleton. Jake Green maintained third for majority of the race after suffering heavy damage in one of the starts. However Justin Winters would slip by in the closing laps as it appeared the handling on Greens car started to go away. The rest of the field battled in two groups for the first half of the race before spreading out and getting single file. Jeremy Broome took advantage of the early race mishaps and passed 7 cars to claim the Burtz Welding and Fabrication Hard Charger award. Matt Steward claimed the win going unchallenged the whole race and lapping up to the 5th spot.
