7.20.18 Clinton County Speedway Results

Lock Haven, PA- Justin Weaver, a Hagerstown Speedway regular, captured his second Mason Dixon Late Model victory of the season Friday July 20 at Clinton County Motor Speedway.

The 25 lap feature, billed as “The Disturbance In The North” became exactly that over the final four laps. Early race leader Jim Yoder started second and was chased by Weaver the first 11 laps before giving up the lead on lap 12. Weaver opened a half straight away lead before Yoder began to reel in the leader the last seven laps. Yoder was knocking on the door, challenging for the lead, by lap 21 as the pair battled through the corners. Yoder came close but Weaver always pulled ahead exiting the turns. That changed with three to go. Yoder was up alongside Weaver on the front stretch but Weaver held tough. With two laps left, the pair began to rub on each others cars off turn four. Yoder got a good run coming to the white flag as Weaver attempted to slam the door down the front chute. The pair made heavy contact with Yoder nearly collecting the wall while being partially turned sideways on the final lap. Weaver got some breathing room off turn two as time ran out on Yoder’s charge for the lead. At the finish Weaver held a . 0280 second advantage to collect the win. Yoder settled for second. Dylan Yoder finished third after getting by Devin Hart on lap 20. Hart was fourth with Matt Cochran fifth.
