Sarver, PA (July 20, 2021) World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars points leader Brad Sweet outran both the field on hand and Mother Nature at Tuesday’s Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup. And when he finally came to a stand still he found himself in Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane as rain started pouring down. The Grass Valley, CA native hoisted the trophy for the first time in his career after taking the lead from Sye Lynch with a turn two slide job on lap 12 and never looked back en route to the $25,000 payday while 2020 champion Donny Schatz climbed forward from his sixth starting spot to finish second and Aaron Reutzel rounded out the podium
Lynch was perfect in all preliminary racing on the night, setting quick time overall and winning both his heat and the six lap Fast Pass Dash, earning the pole position for the 40 lap main event in the process. Meanwhile, Sarver, PA driver and former track champion Carl Bowser earns the KSE Racing Hard Charger award, climbing from a 24th starting spot to finish 14th, earning an extra $250 in the process. Bowser also earned an extra $1,500 dollars as the highest finishing local driver courtesy of The AMain Podcast which also contributed an extra $350 to Lynch as the second highest finishing local driver.
Racing returns on Friday night as the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series makes it’s return to The Action Track where they’ll be joined by the RUSH Late Models, RUSH Sportsman Modifieds and the RUSH Sprint Cars in a RUSH Summer Showcase. Pits open at 4 PM, grandstands at 5 PM with racing at 7:30 pm this Friday.
