7.21.18 Dog Hollow Speedway Results

STRONGSTOWN, PA (July 21, 2018) – It was a sweep by Mahaffey drivers Duke Davidson and Jon Lee at Dog Hollow Speedway Saturday night. Davidson (AMSOIL Pure Stocks) and Lee (358 Semi Lates) each won for the fifth time this season before Mother Nature blew in and cancelled the remainder of the program. The remaining three features will be made up in the coming weeks.

Duke Davidson led all 15-laps on his way to victory in the AMSOIL Pure Stocks. Davidson redrew the outside pole for the start of the feature. Justin Queen and Amber Mills both took up chase of the high flying Davidson but could not pass him. Mills was second over Queen, Anthony Monteparte, Mike Benton, Marc Whetstone, Sr., Jim Miller, Larry Brewer, Bob Helsel and Branon Doland. Mills and Davidson were the heat winners.

Bernie Whiteford, Sr. was the initial leader at the start of the 15-lap 358 Semi Late Feature. Subbing for his injured son, Bernie led the first six laps before Jon Lee worked his way by for the lead. Lee held off Whiteford the final nine paces and won his third straight and fifth overall. Whiteford was second ahead of Robert Cossell, Nick Fulmer, Ryan Caldwell, Kyle Smith, Jr., Vern Ward, Mike Shoemaker, Gary Stitt and Josh Whetstone. The heats were won by Nick Fulmer and Bernie Whiteford, Sr.

Heats for the Townsend Gas & Oil Super Late Models were won by Dan Angelicchio and Shawn Claar. In the RUSH Crate Late Models Joe Moyer and Clate Copeman were heat winners. David Needham, Robert Lydic and Paul Koffler III were the 4 Cylinder heat winners.
