Heat race winners: G.W. Egbert, Starnes

What won the race: Cody Leonard stretched out a huge early lead, but would have mechanical difficulties just shy of halfway and relinquish top spot to Starnes. Starnes would pull away in the late stages to seal his second career late model victory in his rookie season with STLMS.

On the move: G.W Egbert had a flat pre green flag and had to fall to the rear (12th). He would challenge Starnes for second just prior to the caution for Leonard. Egbert finished 3rd after fading late with brake issues
