7.3.15 RUSH Late Models Results
(Sarver, PA)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series headed to Lernerville Speedway on Friday night for the first of two Bazell/Sunoco Race Fuels Southern Touring Series events. Despite rain in the forecast, a great field of 38 cars from all over Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and New York turned out.
With sprinkles falling throughout much of the early evening and some light showers throughout the race program, all of the preliminary action was completed before a steady rain set in that ultimately washed out the remainder of the program. Both the 25-lap feature and the non-qualifier event lineups were set and those events will be finished on Friday, July 24. Daryl Charlier and John Waters will lead the feature field to green. Rain checks will be accepted.
Heat race winners were Bobby Whitling, Waters, Corey McPherson, and point leader Max Blair. Michael Lake and Steve Beatty won the two last chance B mains. Alan Dellinger won his first K&N “Cold Air Induction” Dash and received a $100 certificate. Josh Holtgraver was second to earn a $50 K&N certificate, while the third and fourth place finishers of Steve Lowery and Jeremy Shaffer, who made his first ever RUSH start, received an extra $25 cash.
