7.6.19 Sooner Late Models Results
By John Rittenoure – LONGDALE, Okla. July 6, 2019) – Friday night RC Whitwell ran away with what appeared to be an apparent victory only to be disqualified at the scales in a post-race inspection. That was not the case on Saturday.
Whitwell again raced out front and led all the way in Saturday’s NCRA vs. Sooner Late Model Series 25-lap main event at Longdale Speedway. This time Whitwell passed post-race inspection and went home with his first Sooner Series feature win.
Friday winner Dustin Leonard held down second followed by Ross McCartney in third. Sooner Series points leader Kip Hughes was fourth followed by Chris Kratzer in fifth.
The next Sooner Series event is July 13 at Dodge City Raceway Park.
