STRONGSTOWN, PA (July 9, 2022) – 15-year-old Ryan Timms of Oklahoma City, OK stopped in and tamed the 410 Sprint car field Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway. The feature went 25 laps nonstop in just over 6 minutes. Addison’s Ryan Frazee made his first appearance of the year one to remember as he won his first-ever DHS checkers in the Townsend Gas & Oil RUSH Late Models. Brad Benton, of Duncansville, picked up his second win in the Schaeffer’s Oil RUSH Stock Cars/Pure Stocks. Tim Laughard won the crate portion of the RUSH Stock Cars. Ebensburg driver Ashton Daughenbaugh scored his third of the season in the Texas Auto Ranch 4 Cylinders with Timothy Baker winning the Modified 4 Cylinders.

In the 15-lap Schaeffer’s Oil RUSH Stock Cars/Pure Stock feature Brad Benton looked like he was going to run away from the feature event. Tim Steis ran in the second spot but could not keep close to Benton’s bumper. After a lap ten restart, Steis stuck with Benton. The pair went at each other trading slide jobs. After a few cautions, the race went 17-laps. Steis took the lead on lap 15 and led until the final lap when Benton made the winning pass to claim his second checker of the year. Tim Steis, Greg Blystone, Jeremy Fama, Tim Laughard, Bob Torquato, Andrew Wallace, John Eckenrod, Robert Lydic, and Brady Gallaher filled out the top ten. Tim Laughard won the crate portion of the RUSH Stock Cars with his fifth-place finish. Qualifying heats went to Brad Benton and Ron Benton.

After a five-year absence, the fire-breathing 410 Sprints returned to the Dog Hollow Speedway and did not disappoint. The 25-lap feature went non-stop in just over six minutes. OK’s Ryan Timms made the stop on his way to central Pa. The 15-year-old driver outran AJ Flick into turn one and never looked back on his way to a convincing win. Flick and Sye Lynch were able to close in briefly before Timms pulled away. The battle was for the second with Flick leading the way. The pair exchanged slide jobs on lap sixteen. Flick held him off until the final lap when Lynch was able to steal the runner-up spot. Lynch, Flick, Derek Hauck, Jack Sodeman Jr., Darin Gallagher, Dan Shetler, Chase Metheney, Brandon Matus, and Dan Kuriger rounded out the top ten. Heats were won by Flick and Timms.

Ryan Frazee led the Townsend Gas & Oil RUSH Late Models to the green flag. Frazee quickly took the lead followed by Braeden Dillinger and Michael Duritsky. Frazee would pull away before Dillinger closed in. Those three led the pack until lap twelve when Dillinger slipped up and fell back. Duritsky took up the chase before he fell out on lap sixteen. Frazee led the final four laps to win his first DHS feature this season. Mike Laughard was second over Raymond Dallape, Braeden Dillinger, and Andrew Koenig. Sixth through tenth were Tim Snare, Marino Angelicchio, Michael Duritsky, Joe Moyer, and Colin Casale. Frazee and Dillinger were the heat winners.

Ashton Daughenbaugh took the lead from Quinton Beeman down the back straightaway on the opening lap of the Texas Auto Ranch 4 Cylinder feature. Daughenbaugh raced off to his third win this season. Beeman held off Colton McNaney for second place. Bill Eckenrode and Diethrick were the top five. Todd Davis, Marc Whetstone, Jr., Joe Huffman, Timothy Whetstone, and Jacob Botteicher completed the top ten. Taking heat race checkers were Beeman and Daughenbaugh.

In the Texas Auto Ranch Mod 4 feature, Dylan Young led the way at the start. Young looked like he had it in the bag when his car broke on lap five. This handed the lead over to Timothy Baker who went on to claim his first win over Hunter McClosky and Young.
