8.11.18 Carolina Clash Late Models Results
Gaffney, South Carolina (8/11/18) – The Carolina Clash Super Late Models made their return Saturday August 11th “To The Place Your Mama Warned You About” Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, South Carolina for the Annual “Stick Elliott Memorial” event paying $5,000 to win. 30 Carolina Clash competitors signed into Saturdays event all seeing who would claim their spot in victory lane.
Zack Mitchell of Enoree, South Carolina led flag to flag Saturday to score his 6th all time Carolina Super Late Model Series victory. Ross Bailes made a attempt to challenge Mitchell for the lead, but a flat tire would end his hopes on taking control of the top spot. Dennis Franklin, Joey Coulter, Johnny Pursley, and Justin Williams rounded out the top five finishers. The Parks Heating & Cooling fast qualifier was Zack Mitchell with a time of 15.325 seconds. Heat race winners included Anthony Sanders and Chicky Barton. The Speed51.com hard charger of the race was Adam Yarbrough who Started 23rd and finished 8th. Yarbrough was also the Carquest / Clarendon highest ROY finisher.
