Tazewell, TN (8/11/18) — Apparent United Championship Racing Alliance – UCRA winner Saturday night at Tazewell (TN) Speedway Anthony White of Clinton, Tenn., refused post-race engine and tire inspection, giving rookie competitor Michael Courtney of Knoxville, Tenn., the $3,000 “Bad Fast Taz 50” victory. There have now been six different winners in six UCRA races this season. Series points leader Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, Tenn., finished eighth after starting twelvth. Jesse Lowe of Crossville, Tenn., averted a disastrous night rallying from the rear of the field to finish fourth after suffering a flat. Courtney is UCRA’s rookie leader. (Jason Nun photo)
Local Jonathan Miracle of Cave City, Tenn., started fourteenth and finished sixth. White’s probation for the remainder of the UCRA season is limited to being fined $100 for any further refusal to tear down at any sanctioned UCRA event according to alliance guidelines. The next UCRA event is in two weeks at Maryville , Tenn’s Smoky Mountain Speedway, Saturday, August 25th per the UCRAracing.com web-site.
