8.15.20 Ultimate Super Late Models Northeast Region Results
Eckert Completes Weekends Sweep With Selinsgrove Win
Selinsgrove, PA. – Rick Eckert of York, Pa. picked up his second straight Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series victory worth $3,000 by winning the Showdown on Sandhill at the Selinsgrove Speedway.
Eckert redrew the sixth starting position and would pass race long leader Gregg Satterlee on lap 15 and would not relinquish the lead from that point forward.
When the green dropped fourth starting Satterlee jumped out to an early lead with a three wide move through the first two corners. Eckert jumped into second early in the event and would hound Satterlee every lap. Finally, on lap 15, Eckert would would work around Satterlee and begin to keep distance between himself and the second place runner.
A caution with one lap to go for Andy Haus, who was running third and attempting to pass Satterlee for second, would setup a green white checkered finish. Eckert would keep the field at bay over those final two laps to pick up the victory.
