What won the race: Patrik Daniel jumper to the lead on the start, and held on until lap 17. Horner made the pass and the top 5 battled closely for several laps.

Note: After breaking a Rocker arm in the 48 car, Cody Leonard jumped in to the 78 car normally driven by Eddy Hardage to salvage some points and managed to drive the 2001 Rocket to a 3rd place finish after a hard battle for second with Little Robbie Starnes.
