8.29.20 411 Motor Speedway Results
After a few weeks off it was back to action at the 4-1-1.
The first class up to do battle was the Classic Car division. The Classic guys had been off for awhile but they were back in full force for the packed crowd. Shaun Sise and Adam Engel are two of the most successful Classic drivers of the season so it was of no surprise that they started on the front row for the 20 lap feature. The green waved and Sise won the drag race off turn two and took the lead over Engel, Mac Lockhart, Mark Sise and Michael Milsap. Trouble for the #15 of BJ Lowery would bring out the early caution. Back under green the fight for the lead was on as Engel was working the inside trying to find some grip on the bottom. Milsap would see his run come to an end as the #515 slowed off the exit of turn four. Sise would hold off Engel and pick up another win.

Next up was the 602 Late Model feature and what a show it was. Jeremy Broome would take control on the start with Michael Woods, Curtis Thomas, Josh Driskill and David Miley in chase. Trouble for the #41 of Richard Bailey who went for a spin setting up a restart. On the restart wed see contact between the #D00 of Driskill and the #11 of Lee Gray sending Gray for a spin in turn two and to the rear of the field. Hayden Cardwell is new to the racing scene but drove like an experienced veteran as he picked his way up through the pack to the front. Woods had a strong run going but it would come to an end as he slowed on the exit of turn four. The yellow wasn’t done as Adam Mitchell would loop his #50 around in turn two late in the feature setting up a short run to the end. Broome would inch away from Miley in the closing laps to score the win.

Next up was the B-Hobby/Super Street feature and much like the Classic race it was a barn burner. Brian Hamby would put his #32 on top of the scoreboard on the start ahead of Brady Lee, Ryan Watson, Dalton King and Reagan Williams. Williams has been very successful at the 4-1-1 but had some work to do if he was gonna score another victory. He battled it out the majority of the race with Watson for the third spot. Up front Hamby had built up a bit of a lead but the #31 of Lee was closing fast. The two would put on a thrilling show for the fans. Coming off turn four Lee got a good run and powered into the top spot. He would hold on in the final laps to score his first win of the season.

Next up was the main event of the evening. The 40 lap Topless Outlaws paying $2,500 to the winner. Cory Hedgecock the 2019 Topless Champion would lead us to green ahead of Chase King, Jed Emert, Ronnie Johnson and Rusty Ballenger. It was a short night for the #30 of Ryan King who pulled off track early with issues. The caution would wave for the #76 of Joe Bray who went for a spin in turn two. Back Under green and the Chattanooga Flash was on go as he had now worked his way up to the runner up spot behind Hedgecock. Trouble for Eddie King Jr who pulled his new Longhorn chassis off the track under green. Series point leader Kyle Courtney would bring out the caution when he slowed with a flat rear tire. After some attention from his pit crew he would return to the race from the rear of the pack. Zach Sise and Austin Neely had their own battle for position just outside the top five. Johnson would close in on the leader with the help of some slower lap traffic but wouldn’t be able to get there. Hedgeocck would score another win.
