Cosner Holds Off Zeigler To Be Crowned King Of The Knob
Markleysburg, PA – “The Hood Rat Express” Matt Cosner of Ridgeley, W.Va., picked up his first career Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series victory by winning the 30-lap King of the Knob at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex holding off a late race charge from Mason Zeigler.
Cosner took the lead from the pole and would set the pace early. Running the cushion, Cosner was able to lead every lap. With two laps remaining, Zeigler threw a slider at Cosner in turn three, but Cosner was able to beat him off the corner coming to the white flag and hang on for victory. Cosner’s pass of a lapped car entering turn one on the final lap sealed the victory.
