9.20.24 Bedford Speedway Results

Greg Spike Moore rose to the occasion and dominated the EMod event as day two of the Troutman Tribute unfolded at Bedford Friday night. In other action Kyle Deneen held off a late challenge to take the Semi Late event.

Spike Moore, the reigning track champion started the 30 lap EMod event from the pole after winning the fast time dash. He out dragged fellow front row starter Kyle Strickler at the start and basically never looked back on the field after that. Mason Zeigler and Will Krup both got by Strickler in the early laps and set up to chase Moore early.

When Krup dropped out on lap 9, Zeigler took up the challenge alone but Moore never faltered. Jumping away on each restart, and actually opened up a substantial lead on the green flag segments.

Cole Falloway arrived in third on lap 14 and occupied Zeigler’s time but Moore pulled away to a safe lead as the laps wound down, running off to the $5000 win.

Zeigler held on for a distant second place finish ahead of Falloway, Chris Arnold and Jonathan Taylor. Todd Neiheiser, Will Krup and Falloway won the heats. Mason Lobb won the B feature. Moore won the dash.

Kyle Deneen started on the Semi Late pole and led from the start, He was unable to shake fellow front row starter Brian Weyandt Jr and the pair were tied together from the start. In a scene reminiscent of battles between their fathers 30 years ago the pair ran tightly at the front drawing away from the rest of the field.

As Deneen’s car began to fade slightly in the late laps, Weyandt prepared to make his move, rolling in under Deneen on the last lap. But that move was blocked as they both encountered a lapped car and Weyandt was forced to settle for second at the line.

Dave Brown, Cody Jarvie, who came from 11th, and Greg Hainsey trailed the leaders. Brown and Kyle Weyandt won the heats.
