9.26.20 Pittsburghs PA Motor Speedway Results

Only one point would separate first and second place for the ADMAR Pro Stocks and with the Wee Willie White Memorial in town, the Pro Stock champion would be decided at Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile on Saturday night. PPMS would see qualifying, eight heat races, a six-lap dash, and six feature events, including the Wee Willie White Memorial. Chris Schneider (55), from Lower Burrell, would win the Wee Willie White Memorial, presented by Zrimm’s Tire & Automotive, paying $1,055 to win. Chas Wolbert (C3), from Howland, Ohio, picked up another win in the RUSH Sportsman Modified feature, while Mike Duritsky (90J), from Masontown, brought home the win in the RUSH Late Model dirt series feature, and Stephen Shelpman (17S), from Pleasant Hills, picked up another win in the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock Feature. The Bubeck brothers of Philip (2L) and Noah (2) would both pick up another win in the Crawford Auto Repair Four Cylinder and the All Ways Safe Young Guns features respectively.

Noah Brunell (31), from New Alexandria, would set the fast time for the ADMAR Pro Stock Wee Willie White Memorial with a time of 19.755. Schneider (55) qualified in second with a time of 19.957 and Jordan Perkins (13J), from Sharpsville, was only 0.010 seconds behind Schneider (55). Brunell (31), Schneider (55), and Perkins (13J) were the only three drivers to have times in the 19 second range. With a field of 16 cars, the Pro Stocks would run two heat races with the top three from each going to the six-lap dash. Brunell (31), Daryl Charlier (114), and Perkin (13J) would be the top three from heat one and Schneider (55), Nick Kocuba (10), and Rusty Martz (16M) would be the top three from heat two. The top six would redraw for their dash starting spot and Schneider (55) would draw the pole position. Schneider (55) would win the dash with Brunell (31) in second, Charlier (114) in third, Perkins (13J) in fourth, Martz (16M) in fifth, and Kocuba (10) in sixth. Those would be the first three starting rows for the Wee Willie White Memorial 20-lap feature event. Brunell would have car trouble and would not start the feature, allowing everyone to move up one starting spot.

In the 20-lap feature for the Wee Willie White Memorial, 15 cars would start the event with Brunell (31) now out of the race. When the green flag dropped, Schneider (55) would keep the early lead. Lap three had Schneider (55) still leading, Charlier (114) in second, Martz (16M) in third, Perkins (13J) in fourth, and Ryan Moyer (13X) in fifth. The event’s first caution would slow the pace on lap six for Martz (16M) who had car trouble. Schneider (55) and Charlier (114) would lead the restart and Schneider (55) would keep the lead when the field returned to green-flag racing. Another caution would come on lap eight and once again, Schneider (55) would keep the lead on the restart. Lap 11 had Schneider (55) still leading, Charlier (114) in second, Perkins (13J) in third, Kocuba (10) in fourth, and Jason Fosnaught (73) in fifth. Those top five would remain the same from lap 11 to the checkered flag with Schneider (55) winning the Wee Willie White Memorial, presented by Zrimm’s Tire & Auto, paying him $1,055. He was followed to the line by Charlier (114) in second, Perkins (13J) in third, Kocuba (10) in fourth, Jason Fosnaught (73) in fifth, Randy Wyant (11T) in sixth, Jim Fosnaught (20J) in seventh, Moyer (13X) in eighth, Bill Robertson (1B) in ninth, and Chase Lambert (22JR) completes the top 10.

Nine cars would start the 15-lap feature for the RUSH Sportsman Modified Dirt Series. Chas Wolbert (C3) would start on the pole. Starting to his outside in second place was Ayden Cipriano (5C), from Hermitage. Kole Holden (2), from Tiona, would start in third, while Tony Tatgenhorst (63T), from Columbiana, Ohio would start in fourth, Chelsie Kriegisch (10), from Ellwood City, would start in fifth, and Jacob Jordan (28J), from Aliquippa, would complete the top three rows. When the green flag dropped, Wolbert (C3) would pull away with the early lead. With Wolbert (C3) still leading, lap three had Holden (2) in second, Cipriano (5C) in third, Tatgenhorst (63T) in fourth, and Kriegisch (10) in fifth. The top five would remain the same at the halfway point and despite a late-race caution, the top five would still remain the same with Wolbert (C3) picking up another PPMS victory. He was followed to the line by Holden (2) in second, Cipriano (5C) in third, Tatgenhorst (63T) in fourth, Kriegisch (10) in fifth, Jordan (28J) in sixth, Dave Price (111) in seventh, Gage Priester (71) in eighth, and Nathen McDowell (11G) completes the nine-car field. The heat race winner was Wolbert (C3).

The RUSH Late Model Dirt Series Topless 25 would qualify 17 cars and Ben Policz (14B), from Rices Landing, would set the fast time with a time of 19.241. Justin Lamb (64K), from Findlay Township was a close-second with his time of 19.313, as Lamb (64K) was driving the Koteles owned Late Model. The field would be broken into two heat races with the top four from each heat race making it into the redraw to determine the top eight starting spots for the feature event.

In the 25-lap feature for the RUSH Late Model Dirt Series Topless 25, Nico Dabecco (42D), from Verona, would be the pole-sitter. Mike Duritsky (90J) would start on his outside and in second place. Policz (14B) would start in third, while Christian Schneider (M5), from Warren, Ohio, would start in fourth, Logan Zarin (1Z), from Moon, in fifth, and Tommy Schirnhofer (8S), from Dormont, rounds out the top three starting rows. When the green flag waved, Dabecco (42D) and Duritsky (90J) would battle side by side for the lead on lap one with Duritsky (90J) claiming the lead by lap two. The event’s first caution would come on lap four when the 8S of Schirnhofer had car trouble and would be forced to tag the field. Duritsky (90J) and Schneider (M5) would lead the field on the restart with Schneider (M5) taking over the lead when the field returned to green-flag racing, but another caution would slow the pace on lap five. Schneider (M5) would choose the inside on the restart with Duritsky (90J) on his outside. Policz (14B) was now in third, Dabecco (42D) in fourth, and Lamb (64k) in fifth. When the green flag waved, the field wouldn’t even get a lap in before the caution was out once again. A complete restart would ensue and Schneider (M5) would keep the lead when the green light turned on. At the halfway point, Schneider (M5) was still leading with Dabecco (42D) in second, Duritsky (90J) in third, Zarin (1Z) in fourth, and Schirnhofer (8S) now in fifth, after having to tag the field earlier in the race. After a lap 15 caution, Schneider (M5) would again keep the lead on the restart. Schneider (M5) appeared to have the win in the bag, but with three laps to go, Schneider (M5) was forced to enter the pits after his car began to emit a lot of smoke as it came down the front stretch, which would give Duritsky (90J) the lead. Duritsky (90J) would lead the remaining laps of the event, picking up his first PPMS win of the season. He was followed to the line by Zarin (1Z) in second, Schirnhofer (8S) in third, Dabecco (42D) in fourth, Beighey (36B) in fifth, Tony White (27T) in sixth, Kassidy Kamicker (72B) in seventh, Eric Hamilton Jr (33X) in eighth, Schneider (M5) in ninth, and Ben Scott (80) rounds out the top 10. The heat race winners were Policz (14B) and Lamb (64K). Notables: Tommy Schirnhofer (8S) was involved in a lap-four caution which made him have to tag the rear of the field and he battled back to finish in third.

The Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock feature had Joe Anthony (221K), from Pittsburgh, starting on the pole as he was driving Karlee Kovacs car. Ben Anton (13), from Jefferson Hills, would start in second, while Chloe Jones (5J) would start in third, Frank Magill (05) would start in fourth, John Cain (06), from North Versailles, would start in fifth, and Kayla McManus (00K), from Elizabeth, would complete the top three starting rows. When the green flag dropped, Anthony (221K) would keep the early lead. A caution would slow the pace by lap two and Anthony (221K) would take the outside on the restart and when the field returned to green-flag conditions, F. Magill (05) would take over the lead. S. Shelpman (17S) was on the move from his eighth place starting spot and was up to second place by lap five and by lap seven he was the leader of the race. Another caution would slow the pace on lap nine and S. Shelpman (17S) would lead the restart with Gary Koteles (1K) in second, F. Magill (05) in third, Anthony (221K) in fourth, and Cain (06) in fifth. S. Shelpman (17S) would lead the remaining laps of the event, picking up another Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock win. He was followed to the line by Anthony (221K) in second, G. Koteles (1K) in third, Cain (06) in fourth, Matt Benard (15) in fifth, Ed Shelpman (17P) in sixth, Kayla McManus (00K) in seventh, B. Anton (13) in eighth, Brian Hutchko (OU2) in ninth, and Jones (5J) in tenth. The heat race winners were F. Magill (05) and S. Shelpman (17S).

The Crawford Auto Repair Four Cylinder feature would start nine cars and Bill Tennant (2), from Colliers, West Virginia would start on the pole. To his outside and starting in second was Philip Bubeck (2). Starting in third was Kyle Janas (88), from Coraopolis, while April Tennant (95), from Colliers, West Virginia, started in fourth, Bob Quagg (16) started in fifth, and Eric Reynolds (53), started in sixth. When the green flag waved, B. Tennant (2) and P. Bubeck (2L) would drag race for the lead with P. Bubeck (2L) taking the lead at the line. P. Bubeck (2L) would lead through lap five when the event’s first caution would slow the pace. On the restart, P. Bubeck (2L) and B. Tennant (2) would again battle for the lead with P. Bubeck (2L) coming out on top once again. B. Tennant (2) would eventually begin to fall off the pace with just a few laps remaining and P. Bubeck (2L) would pick up another PPMS win. He was followed to the line by A. Tennant (95) in second, Janas (88) in third, Susie Rudolph (55) in fourth, B. Tennant (2) in fifth, Quagg (16) in sixth, Reynolds (53) in seventh, Craig Rudolph (5R) in eighth, and Derek Quigley (65Q) in ninth. The heat race winner was P. Bubeck (2L).

In the All Ways Safe Young Guns feature, Dylan Clipp (69), from Burgettstown, would start on the pole. Cameron Hollister (44), from McDonald, would start to his outside and in second place, while Wyatt Mock (88M) would start in third, Amanda Magill (05), from Jefferson Hills, would start in fourth, and Noah Bubeck (2) would start in fifth. When the green flag waved, N. Bubeck (2) would have the lead at the line. With N. Bubeck (2) still leading, Mock (88M) was in second, Clipp (69) was in third, Hollister (44) was in fourth, and A. Magill (05) was in fifth. Those five cars would stay in the same position for the entire event and N. Bubeck (2) would keep his winning streak alive, picking up another All Ways Safe Young Guns victory. He was followed to the line by Mock (88M) in second, Clipp (69) in third, Hollister (44) in fourth, and A. Magill (05) in fifth. The Young Guns did not run a heat race.
