9.4.20 Lernerville Speedway Results
Sarver, PA (September 5, 2020) Mother Nature greeted the first Friday in September providing a nearly perfect backdrop at The Action Track and over 100 cars were in the pits. When those cars made their way to the surface, they found one of the more challenging tracks of the season. Bite, grip and traction were in great supply and were maintained through the night, keeping drivers searching for the best setups and fastest way around the track.
And when the final checkered flag waved, the sizable crowd on hand was treated to four racy features that kept fans on the edge of their seats as the Fab4 Revved up with Marburger Farm Dairy graced the clay in a special September edition due to the prolonged 2020 season schedule. The Homak/Penn Ohio Pro Stocks paid a visit on Friday night as 43 cars battled for the lion’s share of the $1,400 to win purse, and when all was said and done, Curtis Bish crossed under the checkers first after being chased by a determined Chris Schneider in the final moments. In the Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprints, Jack Sodeman Jr. was near as perfect as the weather in his dominance of the field while in the Precise Racing Products Late Models, Tommy Beck spun early, came back through the field and used some late race magic to capture his second career Lernerville Speedway feature victory. And in Diehl Automotive Big Block Modified action, Rex King Jr. took the lead from a strong running Dave Murdick and never looked back en route to his third win of the season.
After the evening on the track came to it’s conclusion, The Action Track Podcast went to work in the recording studio to recap the night of racing that was. Racing returns on Saturday, September 12 with a little something different for the fans as the annual Back to School Bus/Kids Bike Races event takes center stage featuring School Bus Races, Powder Puff Bus Races, Touring Bus Races, a 100 lap Enduro and Demolition Derby. Fab4 racing returns on Friday, September 18 and on Saturday, September 26, the World of Outlaws NoS Energy Drink Sprint Cars make their second Lernerville appearance of 2020 in the annual Commonwealth Clash.
