Winchester, VA- In one of the most hotly contested Late Model events in recent memory, Trever Feathers drove to his 3rd win of the season in last Saturday nights 40-lap “Fall Brawl” main event. The win for Feathers, worth $4000, came steering his Larry Royston owned BWRC no.20 and it would be the hometown product’s 5th overall Winchester feature win of the season.

Allen Brannon and Justin Weaver brought the field to green with Brannon darting into the race lead as the mob surged off turn two. Brannon would pace the field until Weaver took over on the 14th lap and started to build a healthy lead. The final caution of the event that flew on lap-17 proved to be the turning point in the outcome of the race. Trever Feathers cleared Brannon for second on the 18th tour and went after Weaver. As the laps wound down, Weaver and Feathers ran side by side and in and out of lapped traffic before Feathers secured the lead on the 37th lap. Weaver however, did not give up and ran door to door with Feathers over the final three circuits, with Feathers squeaking out the win by a car length at the finish. “The track was pretty bottom dominate tonight and I knew I had to do something different if we had a chance to win.” Feathers stated in victory lane. “Under caution I kept trying to clean the top and it finally came in and we were able to get by Justin.” Feathers was quick to thank those who aided in his winning drive. “I have to thank my mom and dad and car owner Larry Royston.” Feathers quipped. “Larry has given me a great opportunity driving his cars and I’m glad to get him and our sponsors another win.” Weaver’s effort would result in a runner-up finish. “This one stings, but that’s how the game goes.” The one-time 2019 Winchester Late Model winner stated afterward. “I’ve won them that way, and lost them that way, it’s just part of it.” Brannon held tough for third with Daryl Hills and Kyle Hardy rounding out the top-five. Heats for the 22-entries went to Dale Hollidge, Weaver and Brannon.

In support class action, Rob Nichols wired the field for his 3rd win of the season in the 15-lap Pure Stock feature, Chad Brill broke through for his first-career division win in the 15-lap Enduro Stock main with Ricky Shanholtz also claiming the first of his Winchester career in the 15-lap U-Car Contest.
