Gastonia, North Carolina (5/17/19) – The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to “The Action Track” Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, North Carolina on Friday May 17th for a $5,000 to win event. The event saw 25 Carolina Clash competitors sign into Friday’s Series event.
Taking his first career Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory; Trent Ivey of Union, South Carolina outran fellow Carolina Clash competitors Friday to visit victory lane. Ivey took control of the lead when race leader Chris Ferguson made contact with a lapped car and was forced to go pit side due to a flat right rear tire. Ferguson raced his way back to a second place finish. Dennis Franklin, Daulton Wilson, and Brett Hamm rounded out the top five finishers. The Parks Heating & Cooling fast qualifier was Chris Ferguson with a time of 15.166 seconds. The Speed51.com hard charger of the race was Daulton Wilson who Started 11th and finished 4th.
