MODOC, SC – The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region made their return to “The DOC” Modoc Raceway located in Modoc, South Carolina Saturday May 18th for the annual “Jack Starrette Memorial” event paying $5,022.
After starting tenth Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, North Carolina raced his way through the field and on lap 37 Ferguson made the pass on race leader Johnny Pursley to move to the point. Ferguson would lead the remainder of the event to capture his twelfth career victory with the Ultimate Southeast Tour and earn his fourth “Jack Starrette Memorial” win. Johnny Pursley, Casey Roberts, Dennis Franklin, and Ben Watkins rounded out the top five finishers. Dennis Franklin set fast time qualifying with a time of 15.892 seconds to earn the Davis Diesel Service Fast Qualifier award.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Southeast Region will be back in action again on June 15th as the Series will travel to Virginia Motor Speedway located in Jamaica, Virginia for the annual “USA 100” paying $20,000 to win.
