6.15.19 Tyler County Speedway Results

(Middlebourne, WV) Tyler County Speedway would play host to the 18th Annual Eaton/Childers King of the Ring race in remembrance of the late Bill Childers and Beecher Eaton on Saturday Night, June 15th. A great night of racing action would welcome race fans and an efficient show that would see the final checkered flag of the evening wave at 10:45. Kyle Thomas of Pennsboro, WV would be the star of the night as the talented hotshoe would double dip picking up the Super Late Model main event along with the prestigious Eaton/Childers King of the Ring FASTRAK Late Model race.

Starting the evening off would be the mighty Modlites as defending track champion Daniel Eddy would hold off a charging and current point leader John Cogar to the line to collect the main event. Following the duo were Jeff Fornash, Ryan Saffell and Vivian Jones.

The Appalachian Mineral Title Company FASTRAK Late Model division would be on center stage and a loaded A-Main would roll off in the Eaton/Childers Memorial race. The aforementioned Thomas would roll around the ‘Bullring’ in vintage fashion to secure his first Eaton/Childers win. Following Thomas was the ‘Mad Mexican’ Troy Frazier, Donnie Dotson, Brandon Weigle and Garrett Paugh.

In the UMP Modified feature, a great three car battle would wage throughout with the ‘Outlaw’ Jesse Wisecarver in the 101 notching the win to maintain his 2019 point lead. It wouldn’t be easy for the Zanesville, Ohio racer as he had to hold a hard charging and pesky Rex Frohnapfel and Chad Smith at bay. Finishing fourth and fifth in the competitive affair was Codi Brightwell and Jason Brookover.

Drama in the J&R Excavating Super Late Model event presented by Midcap Land and Timber as race long dominator Derek Doll would blister the field taking the checkers. But in post-race tech, the driver of the #87 was declared light at the scales giving the victory to Kyle Thomas. It would be Thomas second win of the night, as the current point leader would best Travis Brown, Brian Baumberger, Jeromy Misel and Steve Weigle across the line.

In the Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmod feature event presented by Poske Performance Parts it was Danny Thomas snaring the win in the run of the night. The talented pilot of the 7Jr. would roll off shotgun on the field in the 19th starting spot after a heat race miscue. Thomas would roar thru the field using caution flags to his advantage picking off cars until late in the race when Thomas would find himself sitting firmly in the top five. A late race pass coming off turn of race long leader Travis Thomas would provide the win and the improbable run from the tail for Danny Thomas. Following the pair of Thomas’s across the line was Kevin Dotson, Jeff Gorrell and Steven Dotson.

The growing field of Bullring Bombers would see first time winner Kip Swiger take the checkers over Zack Jones, Mike Todd, Ethan Cross and Dalton Goode.

Kicking off the night was the Mini Wedge division. In the Senior division it was Ryan Hare besting Natalie Hibbard and George Casto III. The Junior division would once again catch Jake Casto grabbing the laurels ahead of Keith Powell and Carson Thomas.
