7.13.19 Tyler County Speedway Results
A superb night of racing action at America’s Baddest Bullring would see local Pennsboro, WV racer Kyle Thomas garner his biggest career payday on his hometurf over some of the best crate late model racers in the country. Thomas would pick up the $7,000 to win ‘Great American Crate Race’ by holding off an impressive run by 11th starting Virginia racer Logan Roberson in his first visit to the speedway. Rounding out the top five were Dillon Brown, Henry Hornsby and Trey Watson.
A great battle in the UMP Modified division would see a great side by side battle between early race leader Chad Smith and Daniel Hill. The duo would put on quite a show until the race mid point when Hill would wrestle the lead away and go on to claim his 3rd straight UMP Mod win at the Bullring.
Danny Thomas would continue his assault on the Hotmod division by claiming another win over Brian Probst, Steven Dotson, Mick Baker and Steve Magyar.
Current point leader John Cogar would hold a pesky Daniel Eddy at bar early in the race before having to hold off Matt Ward in the late stages to secure the win. Following Cogar across the line was Ward, Shawn Kernan, Mitch Ward and Daniel Eddy.
Mike Todd would become the 7th different feature winner in the Bullring Bomber division by besting Dalton Goode and an entertaining Sierra Gutierrez.
In the youth league of auto racing it was the Casto Brothers sweeping the action.
A special $5 FAN APPRECIATION Night is on tap this Saturday Night, July 20th with all proceeds going towards the purchase of new bleachers in 2020. The Buckeye/ Mountaineer Steel Block Series will be in action for a $1200 to win Hillbilly 50 Qualifier event plus racing action in the UMP Modifieds, EDGE Hotmods, Modlites, Bullring Bombers and Mini Wedges. Be sure to bring the kids as a special ‘Ride with the Race Cars’ will thrill the youngsters at intermission. Gates open at 4, hotlaps 6:45 and racing 7:30. General admission is just $5, with kids 10 and under FREE and Pits $30.
