It was once again back to racing at Tennessee’s action track with another night of action.

The 2019 season points standings were coming to an end meaning we’d have a fresh new batch of Champions after the night was over. The 20 lap Classic car feature was the first of five classes racing on the night. Mac Lockhart would set fast time in qualifying but since he had won the last three races he entered he’d have to start in the second row. The green waved over the strong field of drivers and it was season point leader Lee Merritt who would get the lead on the start ahead of Will Carey, Lockhart, Luke Ellis and Michael Milsap. The top two of Merritt and Carey are teammates but they’ve battled it out all season long and tonight would be no different as the two fought for the lead the entire race. A scary moment would bring out the red flag as the #11 of Tim Bounds went up in flames on the front stretch. He would be okay but was done for the rest of the night. Merritt would hold on to pick up another win.

1. #14 Lee Merritt
2. #16 Will Carey
3. #515 Michael Milsap
4. #J16 Shaun Sise
5. #00 Mac Lockhart
6. #51 Adam Engel
7. #17 Luke Ellis
8. #42 Shane Taylor
9. #11 Tim Bounds
DQ #59 Mark Sise

Clyde Stanton was fresh off a dominating performance last weekend in the Sportsman division but tonight it would be Jake Whitehead who set fast time in qualifying. The green waved and Stanton got the hole shot coming out of turn two and put his #11C into the lead. Whitehead, Brandon Miller, Hunter Kerr and Brandon Gardner were your top five on the start. As the top three quickly pulled away on the start Kerr had his hands full with Brandon Gardner and Adam Pressley. Trouble for third place Miller who looped his #89 on the exit of two slowing the pace. Back under green and it didn’t take Milller long to get back up into his previous running position. It looked like Stanton was gonna be on the road to another win but Whitehead had found something as he began to eat into the lead in the final five laps. Coming off turn two he pulled a strong power move and took the top spot away and went on to pick up his fourth win of the season.

1. #116 Jake Whitehead
2. #C11 Clyde Stanton
3. #40 Hunter Kerr
4. #89 Brandon Miller
5. #98 Adam Pressley

Trevor Sise has been on a hot streak lately and he kept it business as usual as he put his #73 on pole for the A main once again. Trouble would show it’s ugly head on the start as Eli Beets, Barry Goodman and Devin Stuart would get tangled up on the first lap. Stuart and Beets would continue on but the night was over for Goodman who pulled off track and headed back to his hauler. Jason Cardwell would also pull off track with a flat but returned shortly after. Trouble for Josh Henry who tagged the wall going into turn three ending his night. After the rough start the race got going and it was all Trevor Sise who jumped out to a massive lead. Brad Lowe and Eli Beets had their own battle for a spot inside the top five. Cardwell had to restart at the rear and was working his way back up. No one had another for Sise who would pull away to nearly a half track lead by the end.

Billy Palmer would start on the pole for the Open Wheel feature. Sadly for him it would be short lived as a broken axle cap ending his night on the first lap of the race. When he slowed it set off a chain reaction collecting Wayne James, Larry James and Joey Whitenburg all of whom would continue on. It would be Dustin Diden who put his #112 into the lead but the caution would wave again as Wayne James would have more issues and had to call it a night early. Back under green it was Diden, points leader Jimmy Dalton, Robby Regan, Brian Nantz and Joey Cotterman making up your top five. Trouble for the #77 of Dakotah Curry who went for a spin in turn two slowing the pace once again. Josh Henry had worked his way up into the top five but would pull off track under caution with mechanical problems. The final race of the night would be the Front Wheel Drive feature. Point leader Nathan Adams would once again lead us to green. The caution would wave early as Ray Wyatt and Brandon Viers had a tough crash ending both their nights early. Back under green and the fight for the lead was intense as Adams and newcomer Tanner Earhart battled it out for the lead putting on a thrilling show for the fans. Trouble for third place Jason Ketron who tagged the outside wall ending his strong run early. Trouble would also find Terry Earhart who also felt the wrath of the turn two wall as he slammed hard into it a couple laps later. The battle for the lead would boil over as Adams and Earhart got together while racing for the lead resulting in Adams going for a spin and pulling off track with damage. After that it was all Earhart who ran away to a big lead picking up the win in his first ever oval track start.
