Gaffney, South Carolina (8/24/19) – The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, South Carolina on Saturday August 24th for the annual “Stick Elliott Memorial” paying $4,000 to win. The event was a make up event originally scheduled for August 4th. The feature was set from August 4th qualifying order.
Leading all 40 laps of the event Trent Ivey of Union, South Carolina scored the victory Saturday with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series in the annual “Stick Elliott Memorial” at Cherokee Speedway. Derrick Ramey, Jeff Smith, Brett Hamm, and Matthew Nance rounded out the top five finishers. The Parks Heating & Cooling fast qualifier was Trent Ivey with a time 14.976 seconds
The victory was Ivey’s second career win with the Carolina Clash Tour. Jeff Smith was the hard charger of the race after starting 10th and finishing 3rd.
