Booger Brooks continued his dominance as he set the Boyd Bilt Fabrication fast time, putting him on the pole for the #FATBOYRACING Dash for Cash. Phillip Pitman, Matthew Knight, Tyler Sanders, Wiley McDaniel and Daniel Brewer would also lock into the #FATBOYRACING Dash for Cash.
Booger Brooks jumped out to the lead with Mcdaniel and Pittman running side by side for second and third. Sander, M. Knight and Brewer raced side by side for majority of the dash. Brooks won the dash uncontested from the front row. Pittman, McDaniel, Sanders, M. Knight and Brewer would complete the finishing order.
Berry Construction heat number one had Ches Chester and Caleb Gay on the front row. Chester beat Gay back to the line to lead lap one. Gay would drive had into turn one and take the lead from Chester. Chester would spin in turn 3 to bring out the caution. Gay would get a good restart and go on to win the heat.
Anthony Hill Grading heat race number two had Garrett Smith and Ryan Knight on the front row. Ryan Knight took the lead on lap one and not give it back. Ridge Warren would pressure Smith for second and throw a slider on him as the caution came out for Justin Begley after contact from Cale Faulk. On the restart Warren completed the pass on smith for second. Gavin Cowan after several laps of following Begley finally passed Begley coming to the checkered for the fourth spot.
Brooks and Pittman lead the field to the green with Pittman getting a good start and taking the lead off turn two. Brooks would rally back through turns 3 &4. The duo raced side by side for two laps until the caution came out for Faulk spinning in turn three. Pete Cochran pulled of the race track during the caution but would return to the track. The field bottled up and a few cars got loose but maintained control to give the fans an exciting restart. The very next lap Pittman spun in turn 2 collecting McDaniel trying to avoid hitting Pittman. Brooks inherited the lead due to Pittman’s misfortune. Chester was on the move coming from 15th to 5th in 5 laps. Daniel Brewer got a great restart and takes second from Sanders and stays on Brooks going through turn one and two. Sanders blasted the outside through turns three and four to retake second going down the front stretch.
The caution would again wave again a couple laps later as Caleb Gay, Garrett Smith and Jacob Parris would spin together in turn four. Smith retired for the night due to the incident. Faulk also retired from the race during this caution. Brewer again gets a good restart but this time he cannot do anything with Brooks. M. Knight gets a good restart and applies pressure to Sanders and would throw a slider on Sanders to take third. Keith Brooks brought out the next caution as he comes to stop on the front stretch infield. Gavin Cowan cracked the top five from fourteenth as the caution flew. Sanders would regain third from M. Knight on the ensuing restart.
The field has three wide for fifth after the restart. Ridge Warren spun in turn two and retires for the evening. Chester gets a good restart and jumps to third and pressures Brewer getting into turn one. Donovan Singer brought out the last caution setting up the field for a dash to the finish. Brooks would restart the race at slower pace than he had been doing causing the field to bottle and call for another attempt. Brooks jumped back out front with a 2 car length lead to pick up his fifth win of the season with the series. Brewer, McDaniel, Sanders and Ryan Knight rounded out the top 5 for night one of the KRC Power Steering Clash on the High Banks.
