9.5.20 Path Valley Speedway Park Results
Nicknamed The Little Track with Big Action Path Valley Speedway did not disappoint Saturday night. The eventful night started off with 305 sprint car driver Tom Carberry climbing the fence in turns 1&2 during the heat race. Carberry made contact with another car’s tire which sent him climbing the fence. Carberry was unscathed and the car was repairable as he would later enter feature later in the evening.
In 600cc micro action it was Reese Nowartarski picking up the feature win. Nowartarski led the field for the full 20 lap feature as Tyler Brehm would run out of time to mount a challenge and settle for second. Some bad luck for Mark Brown as he would roll his machine on lap 8.
It would be a slow start for the PASS 305 feature as it would take three attempts to a lap in. Garrett Bard led the field over the #55 of Domenic Melair until heavy lapped traffic proved to play a factor on lap 12. Melair would claim the lead from Bard as he was held up by a lapped car. Bard would fall back several positions as Devin Adams would move into second. Coming off turn 4 on the final lap Adams would pull up beside Melair and make it a drag race to the finish line with Adams claiming the victory by 0.08 seconds.
The Mason Dixon 270cc micro series would compete in two features Saturday night, one of those being a make up from a previous rainout. In the make-up feature Brent Bull would check out early on and claim the victory and the $900 payday courtesy of sponsor T.A. Ward Construction. The regularly scheduled feature would see Craig Myers return to victory lane. Myers led the feature early until Steve Dunmire would work the high side of the track and pass him. Dunmire appeared to be on a rail and running away from Myers until lapped traffic would hold him up and Myers would regain the lead and the win.
Starting in his 4th ever Limited Late Model feature race Virginia’s Chaz Buchinsky would pick up the win. Buchinsky would battle Randy Burkholder remaining side by side for several laps until he would gain 1st place. Burkholder would ride in 2nd until a mistake from Buchinsky allowed him to capitalize and take the lead by lap 13. Buchinsky, who lost the lead last week after being spun, would not give up as he would go back to the high side of the speedway and pass Burkholder and take the win.
In 4 Cylinder Thunder Car action veteran Jeremy Ott would pick up the feature win, but not after a hard fought battle with St. Thomas’s Doug Sales. Sales led the stout field of 16 cars for the first 13 laps uncontended as Jeremy Ott worked his way up through the field. At the restart on lap 13 Ott would pass Sales taking the lead and the win.
Shane Seville led the field to green in the 4 Cylinder Strictly Stocks. Seville led the race until being passed by Justin Williamson on lap 4. Williamson led the remainder of the race, but was not unchallenged as Rusty Garlock would put pressure on him late in the feature. The lawn mower legend and Wingless Super Sportsman driver, Luke Lenker, made his debut driving the Frank Chilcote #8c machine. Lenker was up to 9th and determined to win; however, mechanical failure would send him to the pits late in the race.
Path Valley Speedway returns to action this coming Saturday, September 12th with the Central PA Legends Summer Slam paying $1,000 to win. The PASS 305 Sprints will also make their final appearance that evening alongside the 270cc & 600cc micros, 4 Cylinder Thunder cars, and Strictly Stocks.
