9.12.20 Potomac Speedway Results

Kyle Lear and Derick Quade would lead the field to the drop of the green in Saturday Nights Dirty 30 at Potomac Speedway, Budds Creek, MD. Quade would take the lead on the start with Lear a close second, caution would fly on lap three to slow the field. Quade in the top spot, Lear second would see a battle between Brandon Long and Bruce Kane fighting for the third spot. Quade seemed to be in a zip code of his own as the laps were clicking, by lap twenty-five Quade had almost a straight away lead over second place Lear. On lap Twenty-Six Quade got tangled with lapped cars and spin in turn two handing the lead to Lear. Lear would lead the remaining three circuits and pick up his first win of the season.Bruce Kane crossed second, Jonathan Raley third, Brandon Long fourth and rounding out the top five was Billy Tucker.

In the 30 Lap Rush Crate Late Model main event it was Jeremy Pilkerton picking up his third win of the season at the speedway. Pilkerton and Brandon Sturgis would lead the field to the drop of the green with Pilkerton jumping out to the top spot. Several cautions would slow the field for the next few laps. Pilkerton still in control would see fifth place starter Billy Thompson try to make a move but couldn’t make the pass. Pilkerton would go onto pick up the win, Thompson second, Trevor Collins third, Ed Pope Jr, and Megan Mann rounded out the top five.

The 30 Lap Street Stock main event P.J. Hatcher picked up the win over Deuce Wright. Hatcher would lead all thirty laps. Wright crossed for second, third Randy Zechman, Bobby Meixsell fourth and rounding out the top five was Russell Fox.

The 30 lap Hobbystock race was one for the books.Steve Gingery and Wyatt Hanson lead the field to the green with Gingery taking the top spot. Gingery would lead the way and looked to be on his way to pick up his first ever win but on lap twenty-eight Gingery would slow for a lapped car as 12th place starter Mikey Latham had worked his way thru the field and would make the pass on Gingery to take the win. Gingery would finish second, third Wyatt Hanson, fourth Colin Long and fifth went to Buddy Dunagan.

Greg Mattingly picked up the win in the 30 lap Strictly Stock main event, and Shawn Payne would claim the UCar main event.
