7.30.21 FAST Sprints Results

By: Aaron Fry

Elida, Ohio’s Max Stambaugh scored his first career win with the Ti22 Performance – FAST on Dirt tour Friday night at I-96 Speedway. Starting outside front row of the 30 lap main event, Stambaugh engaged in a torrid battle at the point with polesitter Brinton Marvel. As the duo approached lapped traffic, Stambaugh made necessary moves to put some distance between the pair.

Two red flags would fly to slow the action. The most serious of which involved Marvel, when a right front arm broke sending his 21BP up the track and into Georgia native Sean Rayhall sending him deep into the cornfield outside the race track. Thankfully everyone was okay but both cars were done for the event.

As the laps wound down, it was Lee Jacobs fast closing on Stambaugh, but ran out of time and settled for the runner-up position. Ninth starting Ryan Ruhl earned “hard charger” honors with a great run to complete the podium. FAST point leader, Cale Conley, and Dustin Daggett completed the top 5. Rounding out the top 10 were Ken Mackey, Frankie Nervo, Quentin Blonde, Zac Broughman and Mike Kane.
