After winning the heat race earlier in the day Gary Blanken put his #5 machine on the pole for the 20 lap Street Stock feature. Along side him was the driver who has dominated the division in 2015, Chris Rickett. The green waved and Blanken put himself in the lead with Rickett and Dawyne fox in tow. Rickett wasn’t getting paid by the hour as after only two laps he took a look outside Blanken and took over the lead. The battle for second was intense as Fox was all over the back of Blanken just a few laps into the feature. After just 6 circuits the top 4 had pulled away from the rest of the pack. After battling for several laps Fox would finally be able to make the move on Blanken and take over the runner up spot. At the Half-way point Rickett had pulled out to about an 8 car length lead over Fox. The action wasn’t getting any calmer as point leader Tracy Wolfe was putting some serious pressure on Blanken for 3rd. A slight bobble by Rickett on lap 16 allowed Fox to close the gap but it wouldn’t be enough to stop Rickett from scoring another victory.

With a 14.747 lap time Terry Poore earned the pole in qualifying for the 25 lap Sportsman feature. Beside him clocking in at a 14.827 lap was Jesse Helton. Helton wasted no time taking the top spot as soon as the green waved. The defending Sportsman champion Wayne Rader had some work to do after qualifying back in the third row. He found himself fighting it out with the last sportsman winner Brian Courtney. The first caution waved just 3 laps in with an accident on the front stretch between Adam Mitchell and Dalton King. With the green back out Courtney kept moving towards the front and took over the 3rd spot. Another caution on lap 6 slowed the pace as Lee Merritt went for a spin in turn 4. Clyde Stanton, who picked up a win earlier in the season moved into the top 5 on lap 8. Poore closed in on the back of Helton and took a look inside coming off turn 4. However he would make contact with a slower car and have to fall back in line. The action boiled over late in the race as Poore and Courtney made contact. Poore would spin but the caution was called on Courtney who was sent to the rear of the field. Just one lap later the strong top 5 run Stanton had came to an end via a spin on the final turn. Courtney was a man on a mission and by the end of the race had driven from last back up to the top 5. Poore put pressure on Helton but he would have to settle for second.

Kyle Courtney won the Mini Stock heat race but never came out for the feature event. With Courtney out of the picture, Byers took the early lead for the 20 lap Mini Stock event. Trouble found points leader Chris Griffin as he pulled off the track after just 3 laps. Up front, the #88 of Shannon Raley was all over the #44 of Tommy Metler. On lap 5 Raley was able to make the pass and set his sights on Mike Townsend for second. It didn’t take long for Byers to drive away from the field with clear track ahead of him. Raley was clearly the one to watch as he took second away from Townsend on lap 7. Nothing was gonna stop Byers from going to victory lane once again. At the end of the race he had over a half track advantage.

The final race of the night featured the return of the Super Late Models in a battle for a $3,000 payday. 13.550 was the fastest lap turned in qualifying and it was by Cory Hedgecock. David Crabtree’s 13.656 time put him second but he powered off turn number two and took over the top spot as soon as the race went green .It wasn’t a good night for Mark Vineyard who pulled into the pits after just a couple laps. Up front Tommy Kerr had his 4T machine on point and put the pressure on Hedgecock for second behind Crabtree. After just 6 laps the top 3 were already inching away from everyone else. The first caution waved on said lap with William Overbey crashing into the turn 2 wall. He would be ok but his car was done for the night. On the restart the 2014 NeSmith champion Ryan King took a look inside Hedgecock. He would have to fall back in line with Hedgecock having the momentum on the outside. Just like he had done so many times before Hedgecock began to pick them off and moved into the second spot past Kerr on lap 8. The caution waved once again just 3 laps later when Steve Smith stopped on the track. Crabtree was pulling away by lap 15 but the fight was on for second between Kerr and Hedgecock. It looked like Crabtree was gonna cruise to the win but he slowed on lap 31 with problems. That handed the lead over to Hedgecock who held off Tommy Kerr to score the $3,000 paycheck.
