It was back to weekly racing action at Tennessee’s Action Track with free admission to everyone.
The Classic Car division was up first. Mac Lockhart has been on an incredible hot streak winning the last two races. The momentum would continue as he set fast time in qualifying. A couple of quick cautions for Hunter Graybeal and Adam Ogle would delay the start. Once we were underway it was Lockhart who took the lead ahead of Will Carey. Carey was working the back bumper of the leader hard. The top five had separated themselves from the rest of the pack. Point leader Lee Merritt had a great battle with the returning Richie Overholser for the fourth spot. Michael Milsap moved his way up into the runner up spot in the second half of the race. Quincy Arnwine has a win in 2019 to his credit but bad luck would strike him on this night as he had to retire early from the feature. Carey had been in the second spot but would fall back to the fourth position by the end. Up front Lockhart would pull away in the final laps to pick up his third straight win.

Several new Street Stock drivers were on hand to do battle in front of the standing room only crowd. Chris Brady would put his #B00 on point with Brandon Johnson, point leader Steve Owens Jr, Tony Trent and Shawn Henry rounding out the top five on the start. Owens was set on go from the start as he powered past Johnson and into the runner up spot. Last Weeks Winner Shawn Henry had an up and down night as he didn’t have a great starting spot and would go for a spin early on in the feature. A great battle between Johnson and Owens for the second spot as Brady pulled away out front. Henry had rebounded moving himself back into the the second spot by race end. Brady had ran away to a nearly half track lead as he picked up his first win of the season.

Next up was the always exciting Crate Late Models. A strong 16 car field was on hand to do battle for the $1,000 payday. The field went screaming into turn one and Trevor Sise would come out with the lead ahead of younger brother Zach Sise, Jesse Lowe, Greg Martin and Rusty Ballenger. The action was intense as Ross White and Adam Ahl swapped some paint in the opening laps. The top three quickly began to pull away from the pack with Lowe using the low side to gain ground on the younger Sise for second. Bradley Lewelling also had a strong top five run going on the night. Trouble for the #87 of Anthony Conley would pull off track early but we would stay green. Sise had built up a pretty comfortable lead until a caution for the slowing Steve Smith would erase his gap. Back under green and Sise took a look under his brother for the lead but had to fall back in line for second. Lowe had found something on the bottom as he worked on getting the runner up spot. However he would run out of laps before being able to get the position. Trevor Sise would inch away at the end and get the win.

Blake Brown is always a contender for the win regardless of the track so it was of little surprise when he set fast time in qualifying for the Open Wheel feature. Brown would set sail on the green with Amos Bunch, Jeff Hamby, Jimmy Dalton and Jamie Mosley in chase. Intense racing just outside the top five as Wayne James, Billy Palmer and Ricky Tinch went three wide down the backstretch. They would continue to battle it out the entire race up until the end. Things were getting hot in the battle for second as Hamby was all over Bunch for the spot. Bunch was working the high line while Hamby was down low. The battle would boil over on lap 12 as Bunch made hard contact with the outside turn two wall ending his night. He would be okay but that was the end of his bid for the win. Back under green it was all Brown who ran away to a big lead and got the win.

The final event of the night would be the 20 lap Front Wheel Drive Feature. With over a dozen combined wins this year already Nathan Adams added something else to his season picking up the $100 bonus for being fast qualifier earlier in the day. Chaos would show it’s ugly head as Bo Shipman, Aaron Herbert, and Wesley Teefeteller would get tangled up on the first lap of the race. All drivers would be able to continue on with only cosmetic damage. Another try put us under green with Adams leading ahead of Dustin Duncan, John Ketron, Nick Adams and Jacob Sharp your top five. Duncan was working the leader hard as the laps ticked away early on. Trouble for the #29 of Sean Rice who went for a spin bringing out the caution. Trouble for the #33 of Herbert who slowed and called it a night early. Adams had began to pull away in the second half and picked up another win.
