It was back to action at Tennessee’s Action Track and the racing was just as hot as the blistering sun.
The first race up was the 20 lap Classic Car feature. Adam Engel and Shaun Sise would lead us to green to open the night’s program. The green waved and Engel put his #51 into the lead ahead of Sise, Chuck Killian, Chris McKenlee, and Michael Milsap. McKenlee had the heat turned up on Killian as they battled it out for the third spot early on. Engel had begun to put a little distance on Sise who held down second. A hard crash for the #16 of Sise would bring out the caution as he slammed the turn two wall collecting Killian. Both drivers would be okay but done for the night. Up front Engel would pull away in the final laps to score the victory.

Next up was the 20 lap Open Wheel feature. Brian Skaggs and Jamie Mosley would start on the front row of the stacked field. Mosley would take control on the start ahead of Skaggs, Clayton Miller, Jesse Rupe and Taylor Cook your top five. The early parts of the race would be marred with cautions but once things got going, we saw an incredible race up front for the lead. Mosley would go for a spin in turn one from second triggering a multi car accident. Billy Palmer, last year’s track Champion Jimmy Dalton, Brandon Kinzer and Logan Burke were all caught up. Kinzer would pull off track after the accident and not return. After a lengthy cleanup it was back to racing and the top three were under a blanket. The #15 of Clayton Miller had caught the top two but jumped the berm going into turn one and slammed the wall hard ending his night. Back racing it was door to door action as Skaggs and now Taylor Cook who had rallied from 5th were fighting it out for the lead. Cook would get a huge run off turn two and rocket into the top spot on the last lap to get the win.

Next up was the 51 lap JT Kerr Memorial paying $5,000 to the winner. The race was wide open to see a new winner as the previous four-time winner Cory Hedgecock was not in the field for this one. The green waved and Randy Weaver would set sail in his #116 ahead of Jensen Ford, Greg Martin, Zach Sise and Josh Henry. Sise was coming off a win last week at 411 and was doing battle with Henry early on. Ross White was also looking to move up in #0 as he did not get the best qualifying lap. Trouble for the #D2 of Riley Hickman who slowed coming out of four to bring out the caution. Back under green and Henry was set on go as he powered past Sise and into the fourth spot. The top two put some distance on third but we saw Trevor Sise on the move as he worked on Henry for fourth. Greg Martin had found something as he picked his way through the slower cars and into second past Ford. Weaver was dealing with heavy lap traffic and got together on the exit of two opening the door for Martin to slide by and into the lead. Weaver would slow and exit the track the next lap ending his night. Martin would hold off Ford and Trevor Sise on a final restart to pick up the big win.

The final race of the night would be the 20 lap Front Wheel Drive feature. Zachery Walton was starting his first ever dirt race, but you could not tell it as he would lead us to green. Your top five on the start were Walton, last year’s track Champion Nathan Adams, Dustin Duncan, and Jeremy Wyatt. Adams was all over the back of the leader as he tried to take the top spot and protect the second spot from a hard charging Duncan. Adams and Walton would get together sending Walton spinning but he would get his spot back. They would pull away from Duncan in the final laps to settle in between themselves. Walton would hold on to pick up his first ever win at the 4-1-1.
