The World Of Outlaws Super Late Models series rolled back into Tennessee’s Action Track for a big 10K to win 50 lap feature.

First up would be the Crate Late Models. A very strong field of drivers were on hand to do do battle for the $1,500 payday. 2019 Champion Trevor Sise would start on the front row with Jesse Lowe on the outside. The green waved and Sise took control ahead of Lowe, Rusty Ballenger, Jensen Ford and Chip Brindle. Lowe had the pressure turned up on Sise from the word go. It was shaping up to be a great battle till the end until Sise’s #73 slowed with rear end issues. Back under green and the battle was on also in the top five between Jason Trammell and Rusty Ballenger. Terry Poore had a strong run going in the early laps but would get loose off the exit of four and lose a couple positions. A debris caution would erase the big lead Lowe had built up on lap 15. Ballenger was having a great run but would loop his #29 in turn four ending his night. It was all Jesse Lowe who ran away with the lead once again on the restart to pick up his 100th career victory.

Next up was the B-Hobby/Super Street feature. Coming off a dominant win last time out it was once again Duke Lowe starting on the front row for the 20 lap event. Lowe took control on the start putting his #55 into the wind with Skylar Douglass, Brian Hamby, Charles Devine and Josh Henry making up the top five. Tyler Haynes crashed hard in hotlaps so he was trying to pick his way back up through the pack. The caution would wave with just six laps left for Douglass who spun from the third position. Lowe would do a great impression of his son and pull away and pick up the win.

Next up was the 50 lap $10,000 to win World Of Outlaws feature. Last time the Outlaws were in town Cory Hedgecock picked up the biggest win of his career by scoring the win in his first ever Super Late Model Victory. Hedgecock was strong again as he would get the lead on the drop with Darryl Lanigan, Brandon Overton and Ricky Weiss giving chase. The #23 was an absolute rocket as he was already catching the back of the pack after just a few laps until the caution waved on lap 7 slowing his furious pace. Back under green and Weiss was trying to work over Overton to get the third spot away. Trouble for Ryan King who came to a stop on the back once again slowing the pace. Hedgecock seemed to have the field in the palm of his hands but he was forced to slow while leading with overheating issues handing the lead over to Brandon Overton. Ross Bailes who picked up a big win at 411 last year also had to pull off track and retire for the evening. With Hedgecock out of the picture, Overton seemed to have it on cruise control for the rest of the way.

Next up was the Open Wheel Modified feature and what a thriller it was. Jeff Hamby would lead us to green ahead of Clayton Miller. We hadn’t seen Jody Puckett so far in 2019 but the former 411 Track Champion didn’t have luck on his side as he had to pull off track early with mechanical issues. Blake Brown is always one of the odds on favorites to win regardless of where he’s racing so it was of no surprise when he began working his way up and thew his name into the ring for the win. Miller had used the high line to close in on the back of Hamby. It was a battle of the 15’s as the two skilled drivers put on a great show for the packed crowd. The high line would pay off for Miller as he got a huge run on the outside coming off turn two and powered into the lead. Trouble for the #J4 of Tyler James who went for a spin bringing out the caution. After leading earlier, Hamby seemed to have lost the handle on his machine as he slipped back a couple spots in the finals laps of the race. Miller would inch away in the final laps to pick up the win.

Next up was the Front Wheel Drive feature. A huge field of cars were on hand putting on a great show for the fans. Brad Cross would take the lead on the start with Brian Lindsey, Kevin Sexton and Jacob Sharp in his tire tracks. Trouble for a couple multi time winners as both Nathan Adams and Jacob Sharp would both slow with problems. As the top three put some distance on everyone else trouble would catch Steve Miller who slowed with a flat tire and had to pull to the infield. Kevin Sexton and Mike Jones would have a run in sending Jones hard into the outside wall. Sexton would be sent to the rear of the field as the caution was called on him. It wouldn’t be too much of a penalty as he would quickly work his way back up into the runner up spot by the end of the race. Cross would have it his way as he went on to pick up the win.

The final race of the night would be the 20 lap Classic Car feature. It was a battle of teammates as Lee Merritt and Will Carey would lead us to green. Merritt, Carey, Chris McKinney, and last race winner Shaun Sise along with Mac Lockhart made up the top five competitors on the start. It was a rough night for Tim Bounds as he would bring out the caution in the opening laps. Shane Taylor had a great battle going on with Michael Milsap for a spot just outside the top five. Trouble for the #78 of Eli Keck who brought out the caution. It was a fantastic battle between the two teammates as Carey was knocking on the back door of the leader basically every lap. Carey would make a final charge in the closing laps working the inside line. He would come up just a tad short as Merritt would pick up his 10th win of the season.
