11.27.20 411 Motor Speedway Results

It was back to action post Thanksgiving at the 4-1-1 with over 200 cars in the pits for night one of the 2020 Leftover.

The first feature of the night would be the 20 lap 602 Late Model feature. Booger Brooks has dominated the division at multiple track all across the south east and he would once again start on the front row of the feature. Brooks would put his #48 on point ahead of Seth Wimpey, Zach Sise, Matt Steward and David Kerr your top five on the start. Sise had the heat turned up as he tried to wrestle the runner up spot away from Wimpey early on. Trouble for the #66 of Lee Branch as he came to a stop and retired short of the finish with mechanical issues. A scary moment for the #07 of Bailey Cardwell as he made hard contact with the tire on the outside of turn two. He would be okay but done for the night with front end damage. With Brooks inching away out front the action was intense a little further back until a caution for the #16 of Shaun Sise brought out the caution. Sise had the second spot but would tangle with a lap car late. Lucky for him the caution would be called on the lap car and he’d get his second spot back. Brooks would hold on to pick up the win.

Next up was the 20 lap Classic Car feature. Shaun Sise and Tim Bounds would lead us to green for the start. Trouble would show it’s head early as the #11 of Bounds would loop his machine around collecting the #35 of Mark Sise and the #7 of Tiffany Hensley. Under the caution the #515 of Milsap and the #11 of Bounds would have some tempers flaring as Milsap would ram into Bounds getting himself disqualified for the evening. Back under green and it was Sise who would set sail but the fight for second was hot between Mac Lockhart and Tim Bounds. It wouldn’t take Sise long to find himself in lap traffic as he had put half a track between he and the battle for second. Lockhart would end up getting the second spot late in the feature. That would be well behind the leader as Sise picked up his 4th straight win.

The 604 late models would be up next with a very stacked field of talented drivers for a 25 lap feature. Mack McCarter and Adam Ahl would earn the front row in qualifying. McCarter would take the lead with Ahl, Zach Sise, Greg Martin and Josh Henry in chase. Sise would power into the third spot in the opening laps setting his sights on the leaders. A great battle in the back half of the top 10 between the #95 of Brandon Williams and the #29 of Buddy George was shaping up in the early laps. Trouble for the #97 of Chris Coffey who went for a spin on the exit of turn two slowing the pace. Back under green and McCarter had obviously hit the setup on his #51 perfectly as he ran away from the field to pick up the win.

Next up was the Open Wheel Modified feature. Nascar Xfinity Series driver Justin Allgaier was making a visit to the 411 and did so in impressive fashion as he started on the front row. The green waved and it would be Tyler Nicely who put his #25 on top of the scoreboard ahead of Allgaier, Blake Brown, Nick Hoffman and Michael Asbury. Asbury was looking to take the fourth spot away in the opening laps just behind the leaders. Trouble for the #43 of Jacob Hall who slowed with mechanical issues bringing out the caution. Back under green the leaders quickly found themselves in lap traffic. Nicely began to pull away from Allgair as they worked their way through some of the slower traffic. Next up was the return of the Sportsman division after a long absence at the 4-1-1 we would see some familiar faces on the front row. Clyde Stanton and Jed Emert both Champions in the division would lead us to green for the 20 lap feature. A big crash on the opening lap would bring out the red flag with Jamie Newport, Chris McKinney, Joshua Chesney and Chris Webb among those involved. Chesney looked to have gotten the worst of it as he took the long ride on back of the tow truck into the infield. It was also a rough night for the #19 of Sam Oakley who went for a couple spins. Back under green and Brad Seagle had worked his way up into the fourth spot and was challenging Mitchell for third. Leader Stanton looked to have developed a push on his #c11 allowing Emert to close in in the second half of the race. It wouldn’t be enough as Stanton scored the win.
