3.7.13 USAC Southwest Sprints Results
Las Vegas, NV……..It’s only March 7 and Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. already has eight USAC feature event wins under his belt this year! Thursday night it was the first race of the 2013 “Grudge Series” and the opening point race of USAC’s brand-new Southwest Sprint Series – the “Sin City Showdown” at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Nevada. Driving the Mike Martin Ultimate Offroad/Naquin Precision Earth Moving Maxim, Clauson grabbed the lead when Ryan Bernal spun on lap 23 and he led the final three laps to beat R.J. Johnson, Richard Vander Weerd, Rusty Carlile and Shon Deskins. Carlile led the first 13 laps and Bernal the next 10 before Clauson took over. The race was also considered a special” non-points event for the USAC West Coast Sprint cars.
