5.29.23 411 Motor Speedway Results

It was an absolute perfect day for racing at the 4-1-1 as we paid tribute to the late Scott Sexton.

The 20 lap Sportsman feature would be up first and what a stacked field of drivers were on hand to do battle. The start of the race would be a bit rough with several cautions slowing the pace but once we got going it was a race of the year candidate. Brad Seagle would put his #31 out front until another caution for the spinning Tiffany Hensley slowed the pace again. Back under green, and Heath Alvey was on a missing as he tried to work his way up through the top five. Another driver putting on a clinic was Adam Mitchell who was quickly cutting through the field. Anthony White Jr had now worked his way up into the runner up spot, looking to score his first win at 411. The #5 of Curtis Thompson had a strong top three run going until he got into the infield tractor tire in turn four ending his night. White Jr saw him opening in turn two and tried to slide the leader but he and Alvey made heavy contact ending both drivers nights. Brad Seagle would take over the lead and go on to score the win in an incredible race.

Ricky Weiss would put his #7 on point ahead of Cory Hedgecock, Jensen Ford, Dakota Knuckles and Donald McIntosh your top five on the start. The top two quickly began to put distance on the pack looking to settle it amongst themselves. Booger Brooks didn’t have the best start but was quickly picking up spots. However, mechanical issues a couple laps later would end his drive early. Just seven laps in and Hedgecock had erased the lead Weiss had built up. Coming off turn two he saw his opening and powered into the lead. The caution would wave on lap 12 as the #21 of Kenneth Howell would slow on the front-stretch. The #51 on Mack McCarter was set on go as he tried to work his way into the top five. A debris caution on lap 25 would slow the pace once again erasing the lead Hedgecock had amounted.
